I’m finding it genuinely hard to remember what I watched in April. At the moment the months seem to be blurring into one and I’m getting mixed up about what I did when – starting a new job will do that to you.
I did however make time to watch a certain TV show which I will talk about in probably too much detail below. Sitting and watching films and TV has definitely not been on my priority list lately, however, I am sure once I am completely settled in my new job I will be able to find the right balance of work and downtime.
Now enough about my personal life that’s not why you are here.
Films
As always I didn’t really watch any films last month. I am definitely a comfort film watcher and I’m pretty sure no one wants to hear me talk about older films that everyone has watched by now.
With that being said if you have any film suggestions please either comment them below or drop me a message on any of my socials. I’ve been good at keeping up with new releases but maybe now I will try.
TV Shows
Again I haven’t really spent much time watching TV shows this past month because I am so busy all the time. I did however manage to watch (the majority) of the latest season of The Bold Type. Massive thank you to Netflix for getting it after Amazon Prime decided that UK viewers would not be receiving the latest season.
The Bold Type is one of my favourite shows of all time and I just love it. If you have never seen it before it is about three women who work at a fashion and lifestyle magazine in New York. That probably makes it sound cheesy and well crap, but trust me it isn’t. The show tackles a lot of really important issues whilst being so charming and funny at the same time.
If you are looking for a feel-good show then you should definitely check it out.
Now onto the main event of this post. The oh so long-awaited Shadow and Bone.

My excitement for this show grew with every one of those long months that we had to wait for it and oh my was it worth it. I absolutely loved it. Like so much that I instantly wanted to re-watch it – something that I have never wanted to do with a show before.
The casting was absolutely spot on. Everyone played their characters so perfectly and honestly that was the part I was most worried about. Especially Kaz because well you know, but Freddy Carter is amazing and I may have a slightly (huge) crush on him. Am I too old to have crushes on actors? Probably.
Although we are still waiting to hear whether or not it has been picked up for a second season I am extremely hopeful that it will. I most definitely need more of it in my life so come on Netflix just announce it already.
Youtube
Unsurprisingly my Youtube habits have not changed in the slightest. I’m still watching the exact same people and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
I’m going to leave the Youtube section at that because I know for my May post I will have a lot to say because Resident Evil 8 just came out and I am loving the lets plays on that.
Let me know what you watched in April!
