To Be Read: What I’m Going To Read Over Christmas

It’s finally Christmas time and I have some time off from work, so what else would I do other than read books? I haven’t sat down to just read in a very long time so I am more than excited to get some reading done over the next few days.

Northern Lights (His Dark Materials #1) by Phillip Pullman

Now I have in fact read this before, however, I really want to finish the series and because I read it so long ago I really need to start again.

I’ve really been itching to read a physical book lately and I think this is exactly what I need. It isn’t too long so hopefully, I should be able to get through it.

Also, can I mention just how stunning this edition is? I was contemplating a couple of years ago whether to rebuy this series as I only had the first. As soon as I saw this I just had to get them.

Goodreads synopsis:

When Lyra’s friend Roger disappears, she and her dæmon, Pantalaimon, determine to find him.

The ensuing quest leads them to the bleak splendour of the North, where armoured bears rule the ice and witch-queens fly through the frozen skies – and where a team of scientists is conducting experiments too horrible to be spoken about.

Lyra overcomes these strange terrors, only to find something yet more perilous waiting for her – something with consequences which may even reach beyond the Northern Lights…

Graphic novels

I don’t know which graphic novels I will read yet, but as with a physical book I’ve also been itching to read more graphic novels.

Just this morning I read volume three of Attack on Titan so I’m most likely to continue with those. But I do also want to look into some new series. If you have any recommendations do let me know!

I only have a few days off over Christmas but I don’t have any plans so hopefully I can get some proper reading done. I am very close to finishing my reading goal and I have a post planned to talk through it that will be up in the next couple of weeks.

Also I would like to point out that I have completed Blogmas again this year which is a massive achievement considering how little I have posted over the last six months. I hope you have enjoyed all of my posts this month.

Let me know what you will be reading over Christmas or if you have received any books over the festive season!
