What I Watched: March 2022

March genuinely felt like the longest month in the world. When looking back at a few things I watched last month I quite literally said “what that was only last month”. Also because it felt so ridiculously long I really struggled to remember everything I watched and actually at what point I watched them. Now, I do write a list throughout the month but I have a feeling I’ve missed something. Anyway never mind, onto my what I watched wrap-up.

Films

My absolute favourite film of last month was Paddington. That little bear is so freaking cute and both films, yes I watched both, are so wholesome. I loved Paddington as a kid and even had his little suitcase so of course, I was going to love the films. Honestly, I could rewatch them time and time again.

My least favourite film of last month was Midsommar. It was awful. I had heard so many great things about it and my god was it terrible. Half the time I had no idea what was happening and the ending seemed a bit meh to me. Huge props to Florence Pugh’s character for being so ruthless though. Girl power and all that.

Turning Red was all over social media last month and after a few weeks, I caved decided to watch it myself. Red pandas are one of my favourite animals, my spirit animal according to my boyfriend, so of course, I was going to watch it at some point. I did enjoy it, but I don’t think it was as good as everyone was making out. Although the fact that it involved Jordan Fisher singing was a definite plus for me.

The fourth film I watched last month was The Adam Project. Did I watch it purely because of Ryan Reynolds, yes, yes I did. It was pretty good though. I’ll probably never watch it again but I would give it a solid review. Plus the fact that it reunited Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner was a huge selling point for me.

TV Shows

Like everyone else on the planet I binged Bridgerton last month and oh boy am I obsessed. For me the second season was way better than the first, the slow burn was so much more intense and Kate and Anthony now own my heart. That last episode oh my god. Even my boyfriend, who wasn’t actually watching it with me, seemed to get invested. That speaks for itself really.

I’m still not caught up on Attack on Titan and I don’t think I will be any time soon. I’ve made my way through most of season 4 but I didn’t realise until a few days ago that a third part will be released next year. It’s definitely not my favourite season but I still love Attack on Titan so much. It will always be my favourite anime.

Youtube

In March I decided to put my free trial of Youtube premium to good use – not that I don’t watch an unhealthy amount of Youtube anyway. At the time of writing this post, I only have two days left and I’m actually going to miss it. Not enough to pay £11.99 a month though.

As I mentioned in last month’s post I’ve been binge-watching Elden Ring, but apparently not enough as I actually haven’t seen the end of the game yet. I was watching Gab Smoulders’ playthrough, but Jacksepticeye has also started posting a playthrough and he’s my favourite so I don’t know who to watch first.

The Call of Duty League is a huge part of my life right now and it’s what I spend the majority of my weekend evenings watching. Both my boyfriend and I have a favourite team (we are rivals) so it’s something we watch together. I know last year I was all about Optic, however, they dropped my favourite player and I don’t really like the new ones so I’m all about the LA Thieves now. Sadly they didn’t do too great last month, but I have faith in the boys and they’re really going to turn it around this major.
