To Be Watched: May 2022

I often find myself scrolling for hours and hours to find something to watch and I’ve finally had enough. This is why I am writing this post. I want to start planning at least a couple of shows and (maybe) films to watch each month.

No film plans this month as there are a lot of TV shows I want to watch. However, if you want to see if I do watch any films you can check out my what I watched wrap-up at the end of the month.

Modern Family – Disney +

I’ve been (very quickly) making my way through Modern Family lately and that isn’t going to stop in May. I fully expect to make it through seasons 6-9 this month. Unfortatneyl I don’t know where to watch the last two seasons without paying for more than a subscription so I’m feeling pretty sad about the speed in which I’m getting through the episodes. It’s just one of those shows that you can’t stop watching though.

Synopsis: Three modern-day families from California try to deal with their kids, quirky spouses and jobs in their own unique ways, often falling into hilarious situations.

Heartstopper – Netflix

Is it bad I want to rewatch this already? I fully plan to binge-watch the entire series in one sitting on one of my upcoming days out and I’m ridiculously excited. Since I read the graphic novels Heartstopper has become my entire personality and that now includes the show. I love absolutely everything about it.

Synopsis: Teens Charlie and Nick discover their unlikely friendship might be something more as they navigate school and young love.

Stranger Things – Netflix

May will see the return of Stranger Things and I’m somewhat excited about it. Honestly, it’s been so long since the release of the last season that I’m finding it hard to get excited for this one. Of course, I’m still going to watch it as it is a great show and I do love it. Maybe I will start picking up on the hype and my excitement will build.

Synopsis: In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. As they search for answers, the children unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries.

Attack on Titan – Funimation

It’s about time I catch up with Attack on Titan. I’m really putting it off as I don’t want it to end, but I’m paying for the subscription so I’m being silly. Attack on Titan is and all will be my favourite anime and I just adore it. This seems weird to say as it’s so violent, but it’s incredible.

Synopsis: When man-eating Titans first appeared 100 years ago, humans found safety behind massive walls that stopped the giants in their tracks. But the safety they have had for so long is threatened when a colossal Titan smashes through the barriers, causing a flood of the giants into what had been the humans’ safe zone. During the carnage that follows, soldier Eren Jaeger sees one of the creatures devour his mother, which leads him to vow that he will kill every Titan. He enlists some friends who survived to help him, and that group is humanity’s last hope for avoiding extinction at the hands of the monsters.
