I’ve wanted to write gaming content for a while now as video games are a big part of my day-to-day life. I watch at least one gaming video on YouTube every day and have been doing so since I was 12, so almost half my life.
The very first ‘YouTuber’ I watched the most was PewDiePie and while I do still watch some of his content today, he doesn’t do gaming videos very often anymore. Since then my viewing habits have turned completely to Jacksepticeye, so basically these posts are going to mention him A LOT. If you don’t like Jacksepticeye then you probably won’t like these posts very much, sorry. Well, I’m not actually that’s a you problem.
I do want to find more gaming Youtubers to watch so if you have any suggestions please let me know. I’m mostly into horror games if that helps.
Anyway, let’s get into my first ever ‘favourite gaming series’ post. I’m very excited.
Also just want to add a quick note: I am not in any way ranking these series. I have a lot that I love, but there is no particular order to these posts.
The Sims 4 with Jim Pickens and Kevin – Call Me Kevin
Episodes: 132
Now, this isn’t your usual ‘let’s play’ series. I do watch a few Sims YouTubers and they often do story-based playthroughs. Kevin is not one of those people. His Sims 4 series is pure chaos. Crazily modded with a cult lead by an old man called Jim Pickens every episode is hilarious.
There is a very lose ‘story’ throughout, but the main theme is that Jim Pickens is a psychopath who likes to kill people, so don’t be surprised when there’s a random episode that is a fight to death involving Shrek.
Back when I first watched this series I had never played with or even known about mods for the Sims. Which is crazy because it’s basically the only way to actually have fun with the game. Well, that’s not true because I love the Sims, but vanilla Sims 4 is not it.
I can’t say I’ve used some of the mods Kevin uses, such as the intense violence and the ability to be a drug dealer. But we all know these are the funniest ones.
I first discovered Kevin through Harry Potter RP videos a few years ago and I’ve watched pretty much every video he has uploaded since. His Sims 4 videos will always be my favourites (other than the ones with the Irish lads, which if you know, you know) and I’ve watched some of them quite a few times now.
If you’re looking for some Sims videos but don’t want to follow a story you can watch this series in basically any order. Don’t be put off by the number of videos they are all quite short and as I said before you can pick and choose which you want to watch.
