What I Listened To: September 2022

At the beginning of September, I wasn’t listening to music very much and I definitely didn’t listen to any podcasts. However, at the end of the month, I started a new job and this one allows me to listen to music whenever I want as I’m working from home.

I will be the first to admit that my listening habits are not very varied at the moment, but I’m working on it.

Top Songs For September – Based On Times Streamed:

Want Me by Baby Queen

I’d be surprised if Baby Queen didn’t show up on here somewhere. I’m quite literally obsessed with her right now. This isn’t my favourite song of hers but every time I listen to it, it reminds me of Heartstopper and that makes me very happy.

1 step forward, 3 steps back by Olivia Rodrigo

I’m still very much on the Olivia Rodrigo hype. There isn’t a single bad song on this album and currently 1 step forward, 3 steps back and traitor are my favourites.

Hit The Wave by Marmozets

Now this is my favourite song by Marmozets. I’ll be honest and say I only really listen to this album from them so it probably doesn’t count for much. But this track absolutely bangs. I have such big love for women in rock.

Kali Ma by Neck Deep

Life’s Not Out To Get You is one of my favourite albums of all time and I’m actually in the top 1% of Neck Deep fans on Spotify. They are my all time favourite band and I love every song on this album. Kali Ma isn’t my favourite, but apparently, I listened to it a few times in September.

Dover Beach by Baby Queen

This is definitely one of my favourite Baby Queen songs. I sing this song pretty much every day as it’s the type to get stuck in your head. But trust me you’ll love that it does. So catchy and again reminds me of Heartstopper. Big love for Baby Queen.

Favourite Podcast Episode of The Month

I’ve only listened to a couple of podcast episodes this month and I don’t have a particular favourite. All of them were Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed by Chris and Rosie Ramsey. Every single episode of this podcast is hilarious and if you haven’t listened to it yet you absolutely need to. It’s more for mature listeners though as there is a lot of graphic content, just bare that in mind.

If you have any podcast recommendations, especially ones about books, then please let me know!
