Kaliko Kauahi…Sandra

Best character

It’s always so difficult picking a best character when the cast is so small. I think I’m going to choose Cheynne for this episode purely for the scene about the 3D ultrasound (linked below).

Favourite scenes

I love pretty much any scene with Sandra and when she’s trying to use the vending machine but it keeps bringing the money back out it basically peak Sandra.

Best quotes and one liners

CHEYENNE: I’m sure he’s in a better place. Right, Mateo?

MATEO: Yeah, I bet he’s in bird heaven.

DINA: You think so? But he was so violent.

DINA: Do birds go to Heaven?

GLENN: No, they don’t have souls. They just become dirt.

GLENN: Our party budget is only $60, and the tiny clown alone is $40.

DINA: We don’t need a tiny clown.

GLENN: I already agreed to cut the fat clown, remember? So pretty soon this party is gonna have zero clowns. Is that what you want… A party with zero clowns?

DINA: [sighs] I hate balloons.

GLENN: Well, we need them. Balloons are like our souls. They want to go up, but can’t, and when you pop them, they scream.

Final thoughts and fun facts

The idea of doing a team competition at a retail job, or any job really is absolutely horrific. An incentive of winning £100 would make me want to participate but I’d want to die the entire time. Every day I am more and more grateful that I don’t work in retail anymore.

Amy wears a different name tag in each episode. In this episode, her name tag says “Esmé”.

At the end of every episode, the card for the production company Spitzer Holding Company features a variety of items they specialize in. In this episode, they list Gaming & Hospitality, Restaurants, and Maritime Litigation.
