July was a month spent watching way too many vlogs on YouTube and surprisingly not a lot of TV. There hasn’t really been any series that interest me lately, so if you have any good suggestions (Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+) do let me know.
Films
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
This film is finally available to watch online, so I’ve finally watched it. I absolutely loved it. The art style and animation are so gorgeous, I found myself constantly commenting on how good it looks (apologies to my boyfriend for this, he does find it cute though).
I now really want to watch the second one, but I really doubt it’s going to be on streaming services anytime soon.
Synopsis: After gaining superpowers from a spider bite, Miles Morales protects the city as Spider-Man. Soon, he meets alternate versions of himself and gets embroiled in an epic battle to save the multiverse.
TV shows
Taskmaster
I’ve spent a lot of the past month watching Taskmaster, well rewatching, I’ve seen most of them before. It’s probably my favourite game show, every episode makes me cry with laughter.
Synopsis: Five contestants compete in a series of bizarre challenges presented to them by Greg Davies, the taskmaster, and Alex Horne, his assistant, in order to win back their forfeited possessions.
With Love
I forgot the second season of this existed until a few days ago and I binged a ton of episodes in one go. At the time of writing this post, I haven’t finished the season, but I probably will have by the time it goes up.
This is such a fun show, it’s not the best thing ever, but I really like it. Plus Emeraude Toubia is absolutely gorgeous.
Synopsis: Follow the Diaz siblings, Lily and Jorge, who are on a mission to find love and purpose. The Diaz siblings cross paths with seemingly unrelated residents during some of the most heightened days of the year: the holidays.
The Witcher
Season three (part one) has been pretty good so far, the last episode was very repetitive though and I got a bit bored and lost focus. But I have been enjoying it. I would like more Jaskier though, always.
Synopsis: The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world in which people often prove more wicked than beasts.
Gilmore Girls
I finally started my rewatch of season two! I’m not sure why I kept putting it off because I knew I’d enjoy myself would I got started. Also, Jess is in season two and we all know how much I love him.
If you want to check out my reviews of season one and two (so far) you can do so here.
Synopsis: Lorelai Gilmore, an independent young woman, shares a close bond with her wilful daughter, Rory. However, her relationship with her own mother is strained.
YouTube
I spent most of July watching Life of Tom vlogs, both catching up on recent ones and random old ones. His travel vlogs are some of my favourites and his trips to Shanghai and Disney World Florida are the best.
There hasn’t been a lot of gaming content uploaded lately as no good games have been released in the last few months. Hopefully, that picks up soon as I love a good game playthrough.
