I have so many favourite books that I say I want to re-read every year but never do. The reason for this is that I need to read new books for content and also until last year you couldnโt add re-reads on Goodreads. Well, that is changing in 2023. I fully plan to actually re-read these books as Iโm going to start posting re-read reviews. Iโm both excited and nervous to find out if they are still as good as I originally thought.
Iโm going to keep my expectations low for how many re-reads I can do as I am also still reading a ton of ARCs this year, but theyโre going to be good ones. Trust me.
Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare

It has been so long since I read this series and I really need to change that. Iโve only ever read all of Cassandra Clareโs books once other than City of Bones which I randomly re-read in 2017.ย
I cannot wait to have Will Herondale back in my life, well before Chain of Thorns is released later this month. My excitement for it is absolutely off the charts!
Itโs not in the picture above, but I have the 10th-anniversary edition of Clockwork Angel so that will be the copy Iโm going to read. Iโm not sure if it has any extra content, but Iโm excited to find out.ย
Synopsis: In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Times bestselling Mortal Instruments series.
The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into Londonโs dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhuntersโincluding Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them…
Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer

So, this will be my first time reading Cinder in a physical format. I originally read the e-book version and a couple of years ago I brought the entire series in physical format because I loved it so much.
Iโve been meaning to re-read this series for a very long time and now I finally have an excuse to do it.
Synopsis: Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless Lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earthโs fate hinges on one girl. . . . Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg.
Sheโs a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsisterโs illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kaiโs, she suddenly finds herself at the centre of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her worldโs future.
