Synopsis:

Nick and Charlie are best friends. Nick knows Charlie’s gay, and Charlie is sure that Nick isn’t.

But love works in surprising ways, and Nick is discovering all kinds of things about his friends, his family … and himself.

Review:

I’m not sure how it’s possible but I love Heartstopper more and more every time I read it. For some reason, I always thought volume two was my least favourite, but I adore this instalment.

The growing relationship is just too cute. I remember being a teenager, a little older than Nick and Charlie though, and finding the start of a relationship just the best thing ever. I’m actually still with the same person I’m talking about, which I personally find very cute. The ending of this volume in particular is probably one of the most emotional moments in the entire series. The beach scenes are adorable and Nick coming out to his mom will always make me tear up.

Nick’s development in volume two is especially strong. He starts to become more sure of himself and I love that he finally stands up to his horrible friends. I have a lot of love for Nick Nelson and I see a lot of myself in his character.

I feel like no matter how many times I reread this series, I will never get bored of it. As I said at the beginning of this review, I love it more and more every time. As the shortest volume of the series, there isn’t too much to really say, other than gushing about how much I love it.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
