The Best Of: Festive Book Covers #5

The Christmas Book Club by Sarah Morgan

It wouldn’t be a best festive book cover post without mentioning a Sarah Morgan book. It feels like her covers get more beautiful every year. Her cover artist did such an incredible job with this book that it’s going to be hard for them to ever beat it. This could possibly be because this cover is pink, my favourite colour, but the tiny details are so beautiful.

This is the first year I haven’t read Sarah Morgan’s festive release and I’m actually a little sad about it. Her books are always a solid 4 stars at least and you can see for yourself that her covers are stunning. They also have that nostalgic feel to them.

Synopsis: A long-lasting friendship

Every year, Erica, Claudia, and Anna reunite for their book club holiday. They’re bonded by years of friendship and a deep love of books, but there is still so much they keep from each other . . .

A perfect Christmas escape

At the cosy Maple Sugar Inn, Hattie specialises in making her guests’ dreams come true, but this Christmas all she wants is to survive the festive season. Between running the inn and being a single mother, Hattie is close to breaking point.

The start of a brand-new story…?

Over the course of an eventful week, Hattie sees that the friends are each carrying around unspoken truths, but nothing prepares her for how deeply her story will become entwined in theirs. Will this Christmas be the end of the book club’s story or the start of a whole new chapter?

The Twelve Dogs of Christmas by Lizzie Shane

Festive dogs. That is my main reason for liking this cover. Probably not enough of a reason to include it in this list for most of you, but perfectly valid for me.

Anyway, I’m being silly, this is actually a really nice cover. I love how vibrant the colours are and of course, the dogs are a wonderful bonus. I also love how the title isn’t in white which is what you see on the majority of these types of covers.

There’s something about painted style covers that scream Christmas to me. They’re very nostalgic. I’ve also just realised this cover has a black whippet/greyhound on it. Which makes me so happy as I have a black whippet. I don’t think he’d wear reindeer antlers though.

Synopsis: Pine Hollow has everything Ally Gilmore could wish for in a holiday break: gently falling snow in a charming small town and time with her family. Then she learns some Grinch has pulled the funding for her family’s rescue shelter, and now she has only four weeks to find new homes for a dozen dogs! But when she confronts her Scroogey councilman nemesis, Ally finds he’s far more reasonable – and handsome – than she ever expected.

As the guardian of his dog-obsessed ten-year-old niece, Ben West doesn’t have time to build a cuddly reputation. But he does feel guilty about the shelter closing. So he proposes a truce with Ally, agreeing to help her adopt out the pups. As the two spend more time together, the town’s gossip is spreading faster than Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve. And soon Ben is hoping he can convince Ally that Pine Hollow is her home for the holidays…and the whole year through.
