Book lovers are being seriously treated over the next couple of months, there are so many adaptations happening right now, many of which I’m seriously excited for.
The Love Hypothesis
One of my favourite romance books of all time being adapted into a film with one of my favourite actresses, yes please! I was excited for this film as soon as it was announced, my excitement then sky rocketed when I saw Lili Reinhart is playing Olive – perfect casting if you ask me. I’m not fully sold on the guy playing Adam yet, but I’ll give him a chance. I also didn’t really like the guy playing Josh in The Hating Game but I still really liked that film.
A lot of people that have got to watch the film already have said it’s great and the book fans will be please. So that’s a really good sign isn’t it? Well, unless they’re being paid to say so.
Anyway, September 23rd can’t come quick enough, only three days for those of you reading this the day it’s posted, but quite a while for me. I won’t get a chance to watch this until the weekend though unfortunately.

Synopsis: Based on the New York Times best-seller, The Love Hypothesis follows Olive (Lili Reinhart), a Ph.D. candidate who impulsively kisses her department’s most intimidating professor, Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman). Their mutual need for a fake relationship turns into an experiment in chemistry that might actually solve for love.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping
I’ll admit, I haven’t finished reading this yet, however, I am very excited for this film. Anything The Hunger Games related will always make me excited and I have high hopes for this film. The cast is absolutely stacked and I just know Joseph Zada will be incredible as Haymitch. If you’ve watched We Were Liars you’ll agree with me.
I’m hoping to make it to the cinema to see this but I’ll have a four month old puppy at this point (surprise, I’m getting another dog in a couple of weeks!) so I don’t know if a cinema trip will be viable. I really hope so as this is one of the only films this year I really want to see in the cinema. You just have to witness a new Hunger Games film int eh cinema for the first time – I’ll never forget seeing the arena in Catching Fire.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians – season 3
I’ve also never finished all of the Percy Jackson books, however, I did read up to book three and this is the first time we are seeing that one adapted. It’s my favourite of the three I’ve read, and if I didn’t get rid of the series when I moved house I probably would have finished the series by now.
This show has been pretty decent so far, season two was far better than one. So I have high hopes that it will continue to get better with each season.

Synopsis: Percy Jackson is on a dangerous quest. Outrunning monsters and outwitting gods, he must journey across America to return Zeus’ master bolt and stop an all-out war. After losing his mother, Percy is sheltered at Camp Half-Blood, a sanctuary for demigod children. He must prove himself and confront his origins once he discovers he too is a demigod, and will take off into the perils of pursuing enemies in search of the Underworld. With the help of his quest mates Annabeth and Grover, Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, if he’ll ever see his mother again, and if he can ever find out who he’s destined to be.
Guarding Stars (The Bodyguard)
I had no idea they weren’t using the book name for this adaptation but I suppose it makes sense considering there’s already a world-famous film called The Bodyguard. For those who don’t know, this film is an adaptation of The Bodyguard by Katherine Center – a book I thoroughly enjoyed (check out my review here).
This is another film with a pretty stacked cast, not too bad for a little romance book am I right? Leighton Meester is the main character and is the bodyguard for Jared Padalecki, who really isn’t who I would pick for Jack but I’m willing to give it a chance.
