There’s not a lot of variety in my November watches, I basically let The Big Bang Theory take over my life. It’s such an easy show to leave on in the background while I work. This meant I spent most of the month making my way through the whole second half of the show.
Deadpool & Wolverine
I’ve been waiting to watch this film for so long. I’d wanted to see it in the cinema but it came out right as I got a puppy so I couldn’t find the time.
This was really good. Nowhere near as good as the first one but that one is like gold dust. It’s possibly the best Marvel (adjacent) film I’ve seen. There’s just something so special about the first one that no instalment in this franchise will ever beat it.
However, I was so happy to see Wolverine back and the Deadpool Corps were great.
Synopsis: Deadpool’s peaceful existence comes crashing down when the Time Variance Authority recruits him to help safeguard the multiverse. He soon unites with his would-be pal, Wolverine, to complete the mission and save his world from an existential threat.
The Big Bang Theory – season 7-12
I’m absolutely racing through this show, which is exactly what I expected to happen when I started my rewatch in September. I’ve never seen the majority of the episodes in season 12. It was so weird to be watching The Big Bang Theory episodes I haven’t seen a thousand times. I didn’t even know how the show ended until now, which is a little ridiculous. But that’s because I don’t spend a lot of time on social media so I never had it spoiled for me.
Now, you may be wondering why I’ve never seen the final season and the answer to that is university. The final season aired when I went to uni and during that time I stopped watching terrestrial TV (is that what it’s called?). I used to watch that type of TV with my mom but once I’d moved out, I stopped.
Anyway, I still love this show and it’s one I will watch again and again, probably forever. Some of the jokes are a little dated though.
Synopsis: Aspiring film actress Penny moves into a Pasadena apartment across the hall from brilliant, but socially awkward, physicists Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter and shows them how little they know about life outside of the lab.
Holidate
I feel like this was ok to watch in November as it’s technically not a Christmas film. Not that I wouldn’t watch a Christmas film in November, but this felt like a great film to watch before the festive season really kicks off. I had a great time watching Holidate and it’s definitely a film I’d watch again.
Synopsis: Sloane, who gets mocked for being single, finds the perfect solution when she meets Jackson. Now she has the perfect date for her holidays, but her heart starts yearning for something more.
Critical Role campaign 3: Bells Hells
I finally started trying to catch up with campaign three again this month. After seeing a huge spoiler I got a bit disheartened and I lost motivation to continue. I was always going to continue at some point but other priorities (and life) got in the way so I left it way too long.
I knew what was going to happen in episode 91, but that didn’t stop me sobbing like a baby. I won’t spoil anything, but knowing that Sam was extremely sick when he made his little speech at the end made it a thousand times more emotional. I would have been sad anyway but it really got to me. I can’t tell you how happy I am to know that he’s doing better. Critical Role wouldn’t be the same without him.
I’m still 10 episodes behind the latest upload, which is over 40 hours of content, so I have quite a way to go, but I’m feeling hopeful that my obsession will kick in again and I’ll be watching this constantly.
