Outside of re-watch reviews, I haven’t spent much time watching TV. I don’t think I watched any films at all, not even to review because I forgot this month (oops). Anyway, that’s why this post is so short, sorry about that!
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin season one
I absolutely loved this show, it’s so much better than the original. The writing is more serious (less unhinged), it deals with some serious topics and has a really creepy vibe. Also, no offence to the original cast, but the acting is way better.
I can’t believe how invested I got in the storyline. There’s a particular twist that I did guess, but it made me so sad/mad. I’m now so excited for season two, I can’t wait.
Synopsis: Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart; now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls, a brand-new set of Little Liars, find themselves tormented by an unknown ‘A’ssailant.
Gossip Girl (2021)
This is nowhere near as good as the original but I am enjoying it. The episodes feel too long though, I can’t believe how many times Zoya and Julien fell out in the first season. I actually thought I’d already reached the second season at one point, but no, it happens five times every episode.
I’m now two episodes into season two and I’ll probably finish it at some point next month.
Synopsis: Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teenagers are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl.
