November may have been the worst month for Kindle book deals so far. I feel like I usually have way too many books to choose from for this post, but for once, I’ve included everything I bought.
A Curse of Salt by Sarah Street
Oh wow would you look at that, a retelling. It’s been a while since I’ve read one of these and I’m really in the mood for one. Based on the title I thought this was going to be a Little Mermaid story, but it’s actually Beauty and the Beast. Even though I’m excited to read this, I think there are way too many Beauty and the Beast retellings.
Synopsis: In a kingdom that fears the sea, Ria Lucroy longs to be brave.
Bodies are washing ashore and everyone knows who’s to blame. Legends of the Heartless King shroud the continent in fear; they call him a pirate, a monster, a god. Kill Joy by Holly Jackson
I’ve wanted to check this out for a while but I refused to pay more than 99p for a novella ebook. Thankfully, it finally went on sale on the Kindle store so I can get more Pippa Fitz-Amobi in my life. I’m already itching to re-read the entire series.

The Dollmakers by Lynn Buchanan
I won’t lie, the cover and title are the only reason why I bought this. It sounds and looks very cool, which will probably come back to bite me, but hey harsh reviews are way more fun to write. Hopefully it won’t be bad though.

Betting on You by Lynn Painter
I’m really hoping this will cure my disappointment from Nothing Like the Movies. I don’t have extremely high expectations for this like I did for that book, so here’s to hoping.
I love an opposites attract book and the betting part of this story sounds really fun. I’m not sure when I’ll actually get around to this though.
Synopsis: When seventeen-year-old Bailey starts a new job at a hotel waterpark, she is less than thrilled to see an old acquaintance is one of her coworkers. Bailey met Charlie a year ago on the long flight to Omaha, where she moved after her parents’ divorce. Charlie’s cynicism didn’t mix well with Bailey’s carefully well-behaved temperament, and his endless commentary was the irritating cherry on top of an already emotionally fraught trip.
Now, Bailey and Charlie are still polar opposites, but instead of everything about him rubbing Bailey the wrong way, she starts to look forward to hanging out and gossiping about the waterpark guests and their coworkers—particularly two who keep flirting with each other.
