Best character
Winston has some very funny moments, but both Nick and Jess ‘throwing’ their keys into the desert is truly iconic. They are very clearly soulmates.

Best quotes and one liners
JESS: You’re making a huge, life-ruining mistake by moving in with a woman who turned you into an agoraphobic, turtle-faced, borderline alcoholic.
NICK: I’m going to start over, ’cause this did not go the way I had planned. As you guys know, I’m leaving, so there are some things we need to work out.
WINSTON: Yeah, like, what am I going to do with all that extra money I have now that I don’t have to cover for you any more? Maybe I’ll buy a city.
SCHMIDT: Oh, and you can open a mall And call it Winston’s Corners.
WINSTON: There’s not much sunlight left.
NICK: What are you afraid of, the dark?
WINSTON: No, I’m not afraid of the dark. Worried about Schmidt. He’s a Jew in the desert. I don’t want him to wander.
NICK: That’s Caroline. Now, what do I tell her?
SCHMIDT: Tell her there’s freaking fire ants everywhere.
WINSTON: People, just please listen to me. Stop throwing your damn keys! The werewolves come out at night, man. I don’t want nobody to eat me! I got big thighs. I got a fat ass.
JESS: To beat the coyote, you have to be the coyote.
JESS: Wow, look how pronounced Nick’s couch hole got. All this time I thought he was just sitting here drinking beer and complaining, he was making something.

Final thoughts and fun facts
At the time of writing this post, this is currently my longest-running series. By the time these actually go up, Gilmore Girls might be longer, but I haven’t started the second season yet.
I’ve had so much fun reviewing these episodes. I forgot just how many great one liners this show has. I personally think it’s one of the best, maybe even the best sitcoms of all time.
Winston’s bedroom wall is now adorned with a gigantic version of the “sexually-charged zero-G tea ceremony” mural that Schmidt had originally commissioned for the back wall of his closet from an artist identified only as ‘Gian Carlo’, as previously stated in The Landlord. In real life, the mural was actually created by Los Angeles-based artist David Larks, who also produced many T-shirts, book covers, paintings and murals for the show.
Jess tries to scare the coyote away by doing the “meep meep” that the Looney Tunes Road Runner does. If that imitated real life, then that would attract the coyote to them and not scare it away. Even Jess should know that (according to IMDB).
