Best character
I always find it so hard to choose a best character for shows with shorter episodes. For this episode, I’m going to pick Bo purely because he has the best one liners.

Best quotes and one liners
GLENN: Jonah. You and Mateo will be in charge of our in-store dog adoption today. Yes, that’s right. That volunteer job was desirable. That was a lesson. “And lo, the Samaritan, as he traveled, came to where…”
AMY: 6:00 a.m. Glenn.
GLENN: Okay, right. Anyway, while the rest of you are having normal, dogless days, these two selfless heroes will be in puppy heaven.
SANDRA: I want to be in puppy heaven.
JONAH: I’ll switch if anybody wants. I don’t really care about dogs. I mean, I don’t dislike them. I just, you know, I don’t really have strong feelings one way or the other.
MATEO: You’re a psychopath.
DINA: Sociopath, he’s a sociopath.
AMY: Is it because they don’t like you?
JONAH: No, no I think it says something about our priorities that we spend so much money on pets when there are literally millions of children without adequate nutrition.
MATEO: I hope you die.
AMY: Hey hey, what is happening?
CHEYENNE: I don’t even know who Bo is anymore.
AMY: Okay, all right.
BO: You know that’s because I never get what I want. All I ever do now is babysit for free!
CHEYENNE: It’s not babysitting when you’re the dad!
MATEO: I gotta say, we made a pretty good team. And I usually hate being in teams. I can get pretty competitive.
JONAH: You know what, I actually used to be the same way. It’s why I burnt out of business school.
MATEO: I thought you flunked out.
JONAH: Well, I flunked out because I burnt out.
MATEO: Sounds like you’re making excuses.
JONAH: Well, you weren’t there so. Anyway, the point is I got super stressed about being the best in my class, and I ended up in the hospital with dehydration for two days.
MATEO: Wow.
JONAH: Yeah.
MATEO: I once got dehydration so bad I was hospitalized for a month. They said it was like the worst case they’d ever seen.
JONAH: Oh, my God. Really?
MATEO: No, I was just trying to beat your story. Sorry, I’m competitive.
JONAH: Yeah, well. We all got our stuff.
MATEO: I got more stuff than you, though.
JONAH: Okay.
MATEO: I want to talk last.
Final thoughts and fun facts
Is it really that easy to adopt a dog in America? Walk into a store and pick one up.
Amy wears a different name tag in each episode. This episode her name tag says “Patti”.
At the end of every episode, the card for the production company Spitzer Holding Company features a variety of items they specialize in. In this episode, they list HR Solutions, Nanotechnology, and Pet Repair.
