Guard Your Heart by Sue Divin
I really like the minimalist look of Guard Your Heart. It’s so simple, but it does grab your attention. You know exactly what genre of book you’re getting, a contemporary with a hint of romance, and it has a calmness to it that I can’t quite explain.
I’m not a fan of the whole ‘blue is for boys and pink for girls’ stereotype, but it does work for this cover. The shades complement each other well.
I also really like the font, it’s got a handwriting vibe to it and these are often my favourite style of font. It fits the style of storytelling in this book perfectly.

These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan
This cover has a Charlie Bowater vibe to it, I’m pretty sure it isn’t her art, but I love it. Everything about this cover sings to me; the character designs, colour scheme, and even the lettering is nice. The hint of a love triangle is definitely something that would draw people in, not me, as I hate them, but I can see the appeal.
There’s also a air of mystery, and hidden identity, which fits this book perfectly. The fact that Brie’s hair colour clashes with the background also works so well to make this cover eye catching.
Covers are 100% what draws me into a book and when I saw this one I knew I needed to read it. If a cover looks even remotely pretty, it will get my attention.
