Here we are yet again with a brand new series. Again, I struggled to pick a name for this series, but it is painfully obvious what it should be called. I’m so excited to talk about some of my favourite romance books/books with great romance.
Beach Read by Emily Henry

I loved this book so much. I’d really put off reading Emily Henry’s books because I was worried they wouldn’t live up to my expectations, but I was being an idiot. This was a five star read and my god the slow burn romance *chef’s kiss*.
Synopsis: A romance writer who no longer believes in love and a literary writer stuck in a rut engage in a summer-long challenge that may just upend everything they believe about happily ever afters.
Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes bestselling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast.
They’re polar opposites.
In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they’re living in neighbouring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer’s block.
Until, one hazy evening, one thing leads to another and they strike a deal designed to force them out of their creative ruts: Augustus will spend the summer writing something happy, and January will pen the next Great American Novel. She’ll take him on field trips worthy of any rom-com montage, and he’ll take her to interview surviving members of a backwoods death cult (obviously). Everyone will finish a book and no-one will fall in love. Really.
The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

I know this isn’t technically a romance book, but it is one of the genres in its Goodreads description. We all know and love the love triangle of this series. Which is strange for me because I usually hate love triangles, but both romantic interests had a purpose–you know?
I am a Tessa and Will fan, they are one of my all time favourite book couples, if not my favourite. If you’ve never read The Infernal Device, you absolutely must. The entire series is a five star, in my opinion.
Synopsis: In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Times bestselling Mortal Instruments series.
The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them…
