Bad in Bed by Ali Hazelwood
We all know the deal by now. If Ali Hazelwood releases a book, I’m going to read it. I don’t have many auto-buy authors but she’s definitely one of the top ones. I own all of her books and have read (and loved) almost all of them.
I keep saying Deep End will be my next read of Ali Hazelwood’s but it’s more likely to be this. I’m not getting through non audiobooks very fast at the moment as my focus is just not there. I have a 13 week old puppy so I’m struggling to find the time to sit down and read but I can always have my headphones on.
If there’s a new romance audiobook coming out you just know Teddy Hamilton will be the male lead. You basically can’t escape him. Which is fine but he’s not my favourite – a title which currently sits with Joe Arden (if you know, you know *winks*).
Synopsis: Billie van Buren’s orderly world comes unraveled when her years-long engagement ends in humiliation. It’s bad enough that the messy break-up disappoints her family and threatens to tear apart her friend group. What Billie—a brilliant but sheltered doctoral student—really didn’t need was for her ex-fiancé to publicly disparage her bedroom skills, leaving her confidence shattered.
Dr. Maxwell Austin, a medical fellow, is reckless, charming, and self-assured—everything Billie isn’t. Opposites should attract, but barring the occasional bickering and teasing session, Billie and Max prefer to steer clear of each other. That is, until Billie’s statistics skills bring them together.
There’s nothing wrong with professionally collaborating with one’s longtime frenemy. Enlisting his help to become more confident in bed through hands-on practice, though… That’s a whole different matter. As Max helps Billie embrace her own pleasure and challenge her insecurities, their no-strings relationship evolves into something deeper, propelling Billie and Max into uncharted territory. And Billie just might discover that love is her most significant finding yet…
A Pressing Engagement by Jilly Cooper
The cast for this book is actually crazy and is basically the only reason why I want to listen to it. I’ve never read a Jilly Cooper book before – I’ve always assumed they’re just smut for older people (is this offensive? I hope not, but her demographic is definitely mostly older women).
Anyway, this is a super short listen that I’ll probably use as a palate cleanser at some point over the next few months.
Synopsis: From the world of Jilly Cooper comes an Audible Original multi-cast drama based on the short story A PRESSING ENGAGEMENT, starring Rhea Norwood and Corey Mylchreest.
Adapted by Dare Aiyegbayo. Produced in collaboration with the Estate of Jilly Cooper, Felicity Blunt and Happy Prince, the team behind the hit Disney+ show RIVALS.

All the Time in the World by Cara Bastone
It’s been a while since I listened to a full cast Cara Bastone audiobook so I’m looking forward to checking this out. I haven’t loved this series so far, but they are entertaining reads.
This instalment is narrated by Emily Bader and Lewis Pullman, and a whole cast of what I am sure will be great actors. The narration is always really great for her books and I love that this series features two well known actors for the main characters. I adore Emily Bader and Lewis Pullman has the type of voice I could listen to all day.
I think this needs to be my next read as it’s on the slightly shorter side, so will be a quick one. Not that I’m hurting for reviews at the moment, I have them ready up until March right now.
Synopsis: Celeste Varick has a simple find one of the last wormholes on earth and walk right in. The catch? She has no idea where she’ll land, or that she’s about to fall for the one stranger chasing the same impossible leap.
Everett Ludlow booked the same charter to the same island to find the same wormholes at the same exact moment. A kindhearted skeptic, he doesn’t believe in fate but is desperate enough to leap into the future to save someone he loves.
Forced together in the wilderness, two lost souls start tempting fate, and each other. Neither came here looking for a partner; they came to fix the pasts and futures haunting them. But the longer they brave the wild together, the more the present starts to feel like the one timeline worth fighting for. And as the wormholes draw closer, the scariest leap isn’t through time at it’s taking a chance on happiness together, right here, right now.
A heartfelt, funny, and utterly swoony timeslip romance—a warm, closed-door love story that proves the biggest risk is the one you take with your heart. A standalone return to the world of Maybe This Time.
