To Be Read: November 2026

I haven’t really given my November to be read much thought before writing this post. At the moment I’m either struggling through books or reading them so quick I can’t find the energy to write all of the reviews. I’m currently sitting on five books to review and I think this is making me not want to finish any more books – does this make sense or am I being stupid? Probably the latter.

I haven’t mentioned them in this post but I’ll likely be checking out some of my festive ARCs (post coming soonish) over the next two months. I’ve decided to do my 12 Books of Christmas series a little different this, which I’ll talk about more in my annual blogmas post.

Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver

I put this book on my autumn to be read so I really should check it out before the season ends. I’ve also owned this entire trilogy for so long now that it’s actually a crime I’ve only read book one. There’s part of me that’s tempted by the audiobook but I already own the ebooks, so it would be a little silly to buy the audiobooks too. If anyone has listened to the audiobook – is the narrator for Lachlan as good as Rowan’s in book one (this is a if you know, you know type of situation),

Synopsis: Contract killer Lachlan Kane wants a quiet life working in his leather studio and forgetting all about his traumatic past. But when he botches a job for his boss’s biggest client, Lachlan knows he’ll never claw his way out of the underworld. At least, not until songbird Lark Montague offers him a deal: use his skills to hunt down a killer and she’ll find a way to secure his freedom. The catch? He has to marry her first.

And they can’t stand each other.

Indie singer-songwriter Lark is the sunshine and glitter that burns through every cloud and clings to every crevice that Lachlan Kane tries to hide inside. The surly older brother of her best friend’s soulmate, Lachlan thinks she’s just a privileged princess, but Lark has plenty of secrets hiding in the shadows of her bright light. With her formidable family in a tailspin and her best friend’s happiness on the line, she’s willing to make a vow to the man she’s determined to hate, no matter how tempting the broody assassin might be.

As Lachlan and Lark navigate the dark world that binds them together, it becomes impossible to discern their fake marriage from a real one. But it’s not just familiar dangers that haunt them.

There’s another phantom lurking on their doorstep.

And this one has come for blood.

Every Wish Way by Shannon Bright

I wanted to read this during October but the month really got away from me. I received some bad news that I can’t share anything about yet, but best believe I will when I can. Anyway, it put quite the dampener on the month, which is a shame as it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, so I haven’t read anywhere near as much as I’d hoped.

This was going to be a great pick up in October as it’s a witchy read but November isn’t too late right? Obviously witchy reads are an all year thing, but it’s so fun to read them during spooky season.

I know nothing about this book or author, it was a sale find at The Works (I’m pretty sure it was £1, maybe less) and it looks to be fairly short.

Synopsis: Be careful what you wish for…

Iza’s love life is a disaster. Tired of dating all the wrong men, she longs to find a nice, dependable partner to build a future with, though they’re hard to come by these days. At this rate, she’d be lucky if a man just magically appeared out of thin air.

To Iza’s shock, a stranger with a devilishly sexy smile and an insufferably carefree attitude suddenly turns up in her flat claiming to be her personal wish-granter. Willing to play along, only if to get Beckett out of the way, she wishes to find her dream boyfriend—the kind that solely exists in books.

Next thing Iza knows, she’s thrown into the path of a tall, dark and handsome gentleman called Darcy. Never one to let an opportunity go to waste, she decides to give love another try and sets her sights on wooing this mysterious Darcy.

But with Beckett always around, helping her every step of the way, could Iza see her heart being pulled in a different direction?

An unmissable enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy with a magical twist that will have you completely falling under its spell, perfect for fans of Erin Sterling and Tessa Bailey. A sparkling cocktail of humour and heart, this is for anyone who’s ever dreamed of finding Mr Right and settled for Mr Right Now.
