The Summer I Turned Pretty season three
I’ll talk about my actual thoughts on this season so far in my ‘what I watched’ wrap up but I’m enjoying this season way more than the last so far. I’ve only watched two episodes at the time of writing this but I’m excited for the rest of the season. I’m obsessed with doctor Conrad. I’m a Connie girl for life.
Synopsis: Throughout the series, Belly navigates a series of heartrending dilemmas and exhilarating highs, from clandestine midnight swims with Conrad to carefree beach days spent surfing alongside Jeremiah. As the sun sets on each day, Belly grapples with her evolving feelings and the complexities of her relationships with both brothers.
My Life with the Walter Boys season two
I’m currently rewatching season one in preparation for the new season and honestly, I really like this show. Yeah, it’s a little trashy and love triangles suck (yes, I’m aware this is the second show with a love triangle featured in this post), but I’m excited for season two. I haven’t read the books so I have no idea what’s going to happen.
Synopsis: After losing her family in a tragic accident, fifteen-year-old Manhattanite Jackie Howard leaves behind her privileged and proper life in New York and moves to rural Colorado to be with her guardian – her mother’s best friend, Katherine, who is raising ten kids with her husband, George. While settling into her new, chaotic countryside home, Jackie is determined to stay focused on her dream of getting into Princeton…all while wrapping her head around her feelings for two very different Walter brothers: the reliable and bookish Alex, and the mysterious and troubled Cole. As Jackie tries to navigate her new life, the feelings and tensions she tries to deny threaten to throw everything off course. Will she be able to stay true to herself and still find romance?
Wicked
I have already seen Wicked but my boyfriend hasn’t yet so I think we’ll try to get to it next month. While I can agree that the film is way longer than it needs to be, I still think it’s incredible. I hope he likes it so we can go see part 2 in the cinema together in November.
Synopsis: Elphaba, a young woman with green skin, as she navigates life at Shiz University and forms an unlikely friendship with the popular Galinda. Their bond deepens as they encounter the Wizard of Oz, leading to a series of events that ultimately shape their destinies and transform them into the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
Wednesday season two
I may need to rewatch season one before this is out because I don’t remember a lot. I do remember not being as impressed with it as I thought I’d be. It was 100% overhyped, in my opinion, but I’m also a huge fan of the films from the 90s and this show is very different. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy it, I wouldn’t watch season two otherwise.
Synopsis: A sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago – all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
