The Last of Us season two
I’ve only watched episode one so far, as I’m writing this post a few weeks in advance, but I loved it. I’m not completely sold on Kaityln Dever as Abby yet, as she was only in it for a few minutes, but I love Isabela Merced as Dina. I wasn’t a huge fan of her character in the game but she’s really brought her to life and made her fun. Also, I won’t take anything negative about Bella Ramsey playing Ellie. I think they’re doing a great job.
I’m both excited and terrified for the rest of the season. I’m wondering whether they’ll be adding any new storylines as they’ve already said it’s covering just the first half of the game.
Synopsis: 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed, Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.
Andor season two
At the time of writing this post, the new season hasn’t started yet. But who isn’t excited for a new season of the best Star Wars show? It’s funny how when they’re not trying hard to include action and lightsabers that they actually create something meaningful. Cassian Andor is easily one of the best characters in the entire Star Wars universe, I like to think he lives a long happy life and Rogue One never happened. However, it did and it’s one of my favourite Star Wars films. Don’t talk to me about it, I’ll cry.
Synopsis: The series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
Rise of the Guardians
I’ve just found out this film recently came on Netflix and when I tell you I was obsessed with this growing up. I found everything about it so beautiful, especially the animation. They put so much care and attention into this film. I miss when studios actually put love and effort into what they’re making. Everything just seems to be a remake or sequel these days.
Synopsis: When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs, and imaginations of children all over the world.
The Seven Deadly Sins
I started watching this a few weeks ago and have only made it through four episodes so far. I won’t lie, it’s a little weird, but most anime is really. Anyway, I’m watching the English dub and it has Robbie Daymond in it. Which makes me very happy. I had no idea he was in it until I started watching and I literally screamed. I love him so much.
Synopsis: The Seven Deadly Sins were once an active group of knights in the region of Britannia, who disbanded after they supposedly plotted to overthrow the Liones Kingdom. Their supposed defeat came at the hands of the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that they were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights staged a coup d’état and captured the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. The third princess, Elizabeth, then starts out on a journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins and enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.
