Top Kindle Book Deals: September 2026

The Kindle monthly deals have been so great recently, you really can read a lot of great books for not a lot of money – I rarely buy books for more than 99p. I wonder if the deals are just as good in other countries?

Note to reader: I’m including links to all formats as I know a lot of people, like me, will buy a book in multiple formats.

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

This series seems to be having a resurgence – probably because it has updated covers and they are stunning. I’m almost tempted to re-read, and buy, this series purely because of the new covers. Also, I read this book 11 years ago so don’t remember much other than the fact that I enjoyed it. I gave it a four star rating on Goodreads, so it must have been pretty decent.

There was a real ‘books about angels’ moment happening back in the early to mid 2010s and I wasn’t mad about it. I read quite a few of them and I do remember this being one of the better series. Also, I must have enjoyed it a lot as I read this entire series on my phone. Could you imagine reading everything on your phone screen these days? This was back when iPhones were small.

Synopsis: Angelic powers, forbidden romance, and the choice between fulfilling your destiny or following your heart’s desire.

Clara has known she is part-angel since she turned fourteen two years ago. But only now, through fragmented visions of a terrifying bush fire, is her Purpose – the crucial rite of passage for every part-angel – becoming clear to her.

When Clara meets Christian, the boy in her visions, he is everything she could wish for – so why does she also have feelings for her enigmatic classmate, Tucker?

Clara discovers that her Purpose is only a small part of a titanic struggle between angels and their destructive counterparts, the Black Wings. And when the fire of her vision erupts and both Christian and Tucker are in danger, who will she choose to save?

In Your Dreams by Sarah Adams

As the only book in this post that I haven’t actually read yet, I can’t fully recommend this, however, I do love Sarah Adams. I’m yet to actually dislike one of her books, and this series is a fun one. They’re interconnected standalones that follow a different sibling in a family from Rome. Kentucky.

Every single book in this series often goes on sale for 99p every couple of months – well they have recently anyway. I’ve bought every book for just 99p each and that’s been over multiple years. I think I’ve mentioned one of them in every single one of these posts so far, so that proves that.

Synopsis: Madison Walker left Rome, Kentucky, determined to make it in the culinary world. But after years of chasing success in New York, all she has to show for it is her shattered confidence and a desperate need for a fresh start. Coming home isn’t part of the plan—until an unexpected job offer lands in her lap: the head chef position at a new farm-to-table restaurant in her hometown. The only catch? It comes from James Huxley, owner of Huxley Farm, her brother’s best friend.

James has always played it safe, keeping his head down and running the family business. But when Madison’s happiness is on the line, he’s willing to take up his estranged brother’s offer to launch a restaurant. James has loved her quietly for years, knowing she’s never seen him as more than an annoyance, but now that she’s back, he’s determined to change that.

Madison and James are tasked with launching the dreamy restaurant in record time, but keeping things strictly professional soon becomes impossible, and the town can’t help but meddle in their relationship. As opening night looms closer, Madison’s fears threaten to hold her back.

When an unexpected disaster collides with a long-simmering sibling feud, both Madison and James will have to face their biggest insecurities—and decide if love is worth the risk or if some dreams are safer left untouched.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

Two books in this series are currently on offer for 99p, and as this is my favourite Cassandra Clare series (I’m in the minority, I know), I 100% recommend you get both books. This series is the most angsty, it has a wonderful found and actual family, and there’s a lot fae activity. It’s also the sequel series to The Mortal Instruments, but it’s not completely necessary to read that one first.

I’d love to re-read this series at some point, something I’ve probably said a million times by now, but re-reading Cassandra Clare’s books takes real dedication as I’d want to read them in chronological order.

Anyway, I’d highly recommend this series, especially as those of you in the UK can get two of the books for just 99p each.

Synopsis: The Shadowhunters of Los Angeles star in the first novel in Cassandra Clare’s newest series, The Dark Artifices, a sequel to the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series. Lady Midnight is a Shadowhunters novel.

It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses.

Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions…

Making things even more complicated, Julian’s brother Mark—who was captured by the faeries five years ago—has been returned as a bargaining chip. The faeries are desperate to find out who is murdering their kind—and they need the Shadowhunters’ help to do it. But time works differently in faerie, so Mark has barely aged and doesn’t recognize his family. Can he ever truly return to them? Will the faeries really allow it?

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn

Legendborn is one of the only Kindle books I have ever spent more than £2.99 on. I pre-ordered this book back in 2020 for £4.99 and it was worth every penny. I’ve recently(ish) reposted my review as I’d left a good five years between instalments and I wanted the reviews to be just a little closer together. Plus, I’d post so rarely back then that there’s just a bunch of random posts.

This book, and the second instalment Bloodmarked, which is also 99p right now, are packed full of action. As a story inspired by King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable, there’s a lot of mystery, action and politics in this book. I won’t give away too much, but the characters of scions of Arthur and his knights, and there are ‘Merlins’ who are part demon wizards.

Synopsis: Filled with mystery and an intriguingly rich magic system, Tracy Deonn’s YA contemporary fantasy Legendborn offers the dark allure of City of Bones with a modern-day twist on a classic legend and a lot of Southern Black Girl Magic.

After her mother dies in an accident, sixteen-year-old Bree Matthews wants nothing to do with her family memories or childhood home. A residential program for bright high schoolers at UNC-Chapel Hill seems like the perfect escape — until Bree witnesses a magical attack her very first night on campus.

A flying demon feeding on human energies.

A secret society of so called “Legendborn” students that hunt the creatures down.

And a mysterious teenage mage who calls himself a “Merlin” and who attempts — and fails — to wipe Bree’s memory of everything she saw.

The mage’s failure unlocks Bree’s own unique magic and a buried memory with a hidden connection: the night her mother died, another Merlin was at the hospital. Now that Bree knows there’s more to her mother’s death than what’s on the police report, she’ll do whatever it takes to find out the truth, even if that means infiltrating the Legendborn as one of their initiates.

She recruits Nick, a self-exiled Legendborn with his own grudge against the group, and their reluctant partnership pulls them deeper into the society’s secrets — and closer to each other. But when the Legendborn reveal themselves as the descendants of King Arthur’s knights and explain that a magical war is coming, Bree has to decide how far she’ll go for the truth and whether she should use her magic to take the society down — or join the fight.

Heartstopper Volume 6 by Alice Oseman

With volume 6 going on sale to 99p (this is a limited time deal so act fast!), my digital Heartstopper collection is now complete. The fact that you can buy graphic novels, and books, for less than £1 is actually insane. I’ve bought the entire series for less than what half of one physical volume would cost (this isn’t me telling you to not buy physical books, I’m just amazed at how cheap you can buy books on Kindle).

I’m yet to review Heartstopper Volume 6 as I like to keep my first read to myself – this series means a lot to me. Also, I never reviewed the other volumes first time round so they’re now all ‘re-read reviews’.

If you’ve never read Heartstopper before, buying volume 6 is obviously not the best place to start, however with three volumes on Kindle Unlimited and the final volume at just 99p, you can read the entire series for not a lot of money. They do also seem to go on sale every so often.
