I’m still working through my ‘to listen to’ playlist but I’ve actually found a few new bands/artists that I like. I’m going to mention a few of them today, I don’t really have favourite songs by them yet though.
Songs I’ve enjoyed in July
I’m completely biased with this one as it’s my boyfriend’s band (he’s the guitarist) and also the artwork features my photography. It is a very good song though, I’ve heard it at all stages. I talk about Ahsoka a lot on here as I’m always photographing their gigs, so most of you probably know who they are by now. If you’re not listening to them already, you absolutely need to.
This isn’t the type of music I usually listen to, but I’m bored with the old stuff, so I’m trying something new.
I’m not actually a fan of Harry Styles (I loved One Direction please don’t come for me) but this song is an absolute banger. Dylan has become a very fast favourite of mine.
This song is what I’d describe as Heartstoppercore. Basically, it sounds like it would be on the Heartstopper soundtrack and that’s a win in my eyes. I haven’t listened to a lot of Jenna Doe yet, but I quite like her.
Audiobooks I listened to in July
I started the month with It’s Not Summer WIthout You by Jenny Han, one of my most anticipated reads of the month. So far, I actually enjoy the show more than the books, but the third one may change my mind. I think I’m going to read it later this month.
Surprisingly, I listened to more than one audiobook last month, which is pretty unheard of for me. The second book I listened to was Love at First Psych by Cara Bastone. It was another full cast recording and those are just the best. It’s a really fun read, I highly recommend her books if you have Audible plus.
