I said this in my reading wrap-up but June felt so short but also long that I actually can’t remember anything that happened. So apologies for the shortness/chaotic energy this post has. I did say I’d start writing this post during the month, but June was very busy for me.
Films
Pitch Perfect
I’ve literally just posted my review of this and honestly, I will always love this film. It makes my little vocalist heart so happy and it’s definitely one of the films I’ll put on if I’m having a bad day.
Synopsis: Beca, a college fresher, reluctantly joins an all-girls a cappella group and later infuses freshness into their repertoire. They then take on a male acappella group in a competition.
Wild Child
This is another film that I put on when I’m having a bad day. I’ve wanted to review it for a while (spoiler, this is coming soon) but I watched it pretty recently when I first started reviewing films. However, last month I thought ‘yeah I could watch Wild Child right now’ and I did.
Synopsis: A rebellious Malibu princess is sent off to a strict English boarding school by her father. Unwilling to accept the strict regime, she decides to misbehave, in the hope of being dismissed from school.
TV Shows
Gossip Girl
I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch this as the original is so iconic and honestly, it doesn’t even compare. However, if you watch it and don’t think about it being a reboot it’s pretty good. Obviously, it has ‘gossip girl’ in it, so it’s clearly a reboot, but you know who it is from the first episode so it’s not as dramatic. In my opinion.
Synopsis: As the students return to school after the COVID-19 pandemic, a group of worn-out teachers create an Instagram account as the omniscient and anonymous “Gossip Girl” to take back power from their teenaged tormentors.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin
I’ve only watched a couple of episodes of this so far, but I love it. Because it only has one season so far, I’m spacing out the episodes out. But I’m really enjoying it and I’m excited for the second season already.
Synopsis: Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a brand-new set of Little Liars finds themselves tormented by an unknown assailant.
YouTube
I usually spend the majority of my time watching gaming videos on YouTube, but it’s been pretty quiet lately. I actually spent a lot of my month watching random old Life of Tom vlogs. He’s recently returned to week day vlogging and I’ve been loving them so much, I’ve gone back to old vlogs, mostly travel ones. I’m such a big fan of vlogs and sometimes I prefer them to gaming videos. Mostly because I can put them on as background noise when I work.
