I’ve decided to change the format of these posts as it’s quite rare for me to watch films so having it split into sections doesn’t work every month. I’ll probably start watching more films over the next few months as we’re coming up to seasonal films and they’re the best. For now, you have to put up with me binge watching older shows as I’m a nostalgia watcher and I’ll never apologise for that.
Heartstopper – season 1 & 2
I randomly decided last week that I wanted to rewatch the first two seasons of Heartstopper before the new one came out. I’ve now seen season one five times and I still love it so much. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it. This was my second watch of season two. I know, it’s unbelievable that I haven’t watched it again since it came out. I’m not sure what happened there either. Usually by now I’d have watched it at least three times, but in my defence, I’ve had a lot going on since the start of the year. Thankfully, things are settling down again now.
Synopsis: Charlie, a high-strung, openly gay overthinker, and Nick, a cheerful, soft-hearted rugby player, one day are made to sit together in class. Their friendship becomes something more for Charlie, but he does not believe he has a chance.
The Big Bang Theory – season 1-4
It’s probably not great to admit to watching four seasons of a show in just one month, so I’m going to imagine the horror on your face when I tell you it was during one week. I had a horrific cold a couple of weeks ago so I spent a few days rotting on my sofa with The Big Bang Theory playing literally all day.
I know a lot of people aren’t a fan of this show, but I love it. The first few seasons are so nostalgic for me.
Synopsis: Aspiring film actress Penny moves into a Pasadena apartment across the hall from brilliant, but socially awkward, physicists Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter and shows them how little they know about life outside of the lab.
Agatha All Along – season 1
I’m loving this so far! I don’t know anything about the characters as I’ve never read any of the Marvel comics, but it feels like Kathryn Han was born to play Agatha. Also, can we talk about Joe Locke?! He’s great. I may be wrong but I feel like his American accent is pretty good, especially as this is only his second ever major role.
Synopsis: A spell-bound Agatha Harkness regains freedom thanks to a teen’s help. Intrigued by his plea, she embarks on the Witches’ Road trials to reclaim her powers and discover the teen’s motivations.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – season 2
Am I the only one that thinks this season is all over the place? We’re following the stories of less characters but the pacing is really off. I’m getting a little bored of Sauron and the elves, I want more of Nori and the strangers. Also, where the hell is Isildur? We haven’t seen him for multiple episodes.
Synopsis: Epic drama set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth.
