This month’s ‘what I watched’ wrap up is super short as I’m writing it really late (literally today) and I can’t remember anything I watched last month. I watched literally one episode of My Life With the Walter Boys season two and didn’t even start Wednesday season two.
Critical Role: Campaign 2
Even though campaign 4 is my top priority at the moment, I’m still making my way through campaign two. I can’t remember which episode I was on when I last talked about it but I’m now on episode 85 (literally watching while writing this post), so just over halfway. I also don’t know how many episodes I watched during September.
This campaign brings me so much comfort. The Nein are definitely my favourite group, but I do really love Bells Hells. Probably because Ashley was actually in pretty much every episode and I love her. I think we can all agree that Fearne is her best character. But for everyone else it’s probably the Nein. Although, actually I think Laudna is Marisha’s best character. I haven’t watched campaign one so can’t speak for those characters but I do know Grog is a fan favourite.
I won’t be talking about this campaign again in this post series for a while as campaign four will start to pick up and we’re not far from the animated series. Which will be taking absolute priority as long as I can watch the latest campaign four episodes the day of their release (which is Friday for me). But only because I’m reviewing the campaign. I would have loved to do re-watch reviews of this campaign and campaign three, but that’s a lot of time. Plus I watch/listen to campaign two whilst cooking and cleaning so can’t write notes.
Synopsis: Synopsis: Synopsis: Set in the magical world of Exandria, on the continent of Wildemount, Critical Role’s Mighty Nein campaign is the story of a group of motley and chaotic adventurers who find themselves caught in the middle of a war between two nations.
The Summer I Turned Pretty – season three
I very nearly almost forgot to mention The Summer I Turned Pretty in this post. The finale was weeks ago and I actually watched it the day of. If I’d remembered to do this post earlier, I would have had a lot to say about the whole season, but I can’t remember anything I wanted to say.
I do hate that Jeremiah was given a nice ‘ending’. Denise was a great character and she seemed really cool and headstrong. So imagine how confused I felt when she literally watched Jeremiah cheat on yet another partner but still thinks he’s a good choice. Apparently learning to cook means all cheating, emotional manipulation and general childishness is wiped clean. I really hope he’s not in the film much, I couldn’t care less about what he’s up to now.
The ending of the actual show was so weird. I knew straight away they’d be doing something else because why would you end it that way? So happy for Conrad though. He deserves everything he wants.
Synopsis: Throughout the series, Belly navigates a series of heartrending dilemmas and exhilarating highs, from clandestine midnight swims with Conrad to carefree beach days spent surfing alongside Jeremiah. As the sun sets on each day, Belly grapples with her evolving feelings and the complexities of her relationships with both brothers.
