Music Review: Talk About It by Wildpack

Talk About It is the latest release from Bristol-based band Wildpack. The band formed in January of 2020 at BIMM Bristol and features Josh Coates on lead vocals and rhythm, Howard Hooper on lead guitar and backing vocals, Callum Houghton on bass and backing vocals, and Hugo Bowman on drums and tambourine.

Managing to play a few live gigs before the pandemic hit, the band’s energy has now been purely put into recorded music. The track was recorded at their university’s studio and took them a total of seven and a half hours to produce.

Talk About It is about the struggles of being in a relationship with no communication and how this communication can allow you to overcome obstacles. Although this could be somewhat of a sombre feeling, the track boasts a sunny atmosphere that is lifted by lively guitars and spirited vocals.

This track is pure indie. Constant energy and a real feel-good vibe will make you want to sing and dance along, despite not knowing the lyrics yet. However, this is an issue that won’t stick around for long.

A catchy chorus makes this track one you won’t be forgetting soon. Talk About It will have you desperate to see Wildpack live and unleash the pent up energy and frustrations that the track builds.
