Best character
I feel like this episode is where Prudence’s character arc really begins. She shows real emotion and vulnerability in this episode and it was probably where my love for her character began. She is by no stretch of the imagination a good person now, but give her time, she’ll get there.
Favourite scene
There weren’t any real stand-out favourite scenes from this episode as honestly a lot of it is messed up. I did enjoy the truth-telling moments at Prudence’s ‘last supper’. It’s so intense.
Best quotes and one liners
SABRINA: Aunties? Ambrose? Can anyone explain why it looks like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been nailed to our door?
AGATHA and DORCAS: Both: There were entrails on her bed, but she’s always been lucky that way.
SABRINA: You can come with me if you want.
PRUDENCE: And why would I do that?
SABRINA: Boys. Lots and lots of mortal boys. To torment. And seduce. Or both. Who knows, Prudence, maybe you’ll find the meaning of life at Baxter High. PRUDENCE: Oh, you had me at boys to torment.
Most iconic outfit
The Weird Sisters have some of the best outfits in the show and I particularly loved Dorca and Agatha’s berets. I really love the costuming for this show, the whole aesthetic is great.
Final thoughts and fun facts
It’s kind of funny how disgusted Sabrina is by the cannibalism of the coven when in the graphic novels it’s pretty common for Zelda and Hilda to eat people. The whole idea behind the feast of feasts is extremely barbaric but it makes sense for the type of witches they are I suppose.
Surely the Feasts of Feasts is not something that happens every year? If witch numbers are depleting, which I think was mentioned beforehand, wouldn’t it be counterintuitive for them to eat one person each year?
Tati Gabrielle (Prudence) said that the writers had originally told her before the start of the first season that Prudence knew that Father Blackwood is her real dad. However, it wasn’t until she had read the s1ep7 Feast of Feasts script, where she found out her character hadn’t known. They had changed that plot without telling her, and Gabrielle had said because of that she had playing the previous episodes as if her character knew all along.
