My Favourite YouTube Gaming Series #12

Resident Evil 7 – Skyytea

Episodes: 6

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this in previous posts, but Resident Evil 7 is one of the games I search for when looking for new people to watch. Late last year I got very bored with my YouTube subscriptions as no one was really uploading playthroughs and then I came across Sky.

This is the first playthrough of hers I’ve watched and god I love watching people play this game for the first time.

The very first things I need to talk about are her Halloween makeup looks for each episode. I was very impressed with all of them and honestly what a great first impression. Episodes one and six are my favourites.

This isn’t a playthrough for headphone users because Sky gets scared by the littlest things – literally screamed at a wet brick. This is absolutely hilarious, especially as someone who knows this game inside out, so it’s not scary to me at all

Now, if you’re impatient, you won’t like this playthrough. Sky often misses things that are in plain sight, which means it takes her a while to get through sections. However, I found it quite funny/endearing how much she misses or doesn’t understand, she was scared out of her mind and this is a bit of an intense game to choose as your first horror. I also let it pass because it’s her first Resi game.

When she isn’t screaming this is actually a pretty chill playthrough. This is a niche reference, but Sky is a female version of Octane (LA Thieves). She reminds me of him so much and he’s one of my favourite COD pros so that makes her even better.

She doesn’t use the magnum and as someone who is a huge Resi fan, it really made me laugh. It was a “tell me you’ve never played resident evil, without telling you never played resident evil” moment. More power to her though, she beat the game without it.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, this was the first playthrough I ever watched of Sky’s and it’s what made me subscribe to her channel. She plays so many great games, I have loads of her playlists saved to watch, so expect more of those in the future.
