Best character

I don’t actually have anyone in mind for this episode. It feels a lot like a filler episode so there isn’t much going on.

Favourite scene

*I do not own the rights to any videos in this post, no copyright infringement was intended. All rights go to the production studio*

I love the opening scene where Devi is getting ready for Ganesh Puja. She looks gorgeous, the next scene is so awkward though.

Best quotes and one liners

MCENROE: Of course he had friendzoned her. She thought a wild animal was her dad.

DEVI: Mom, this sari is so uncomfortable. Why does it itch so much?

NALINI: Itchiness of saris is a rite of passage for Indian women. Deal with it.

DEVI: Why can’t I just wear kurta and jeans like I normally do? Then I don’t have to get half naked every time I need to go to the bathroom.

NALINI: Devi, you’re of age now. Half sari is more appropriate.

DEVI: Ew, Mom. Don’t say “of age.” It makes me sound like a girl in a douche commercial. KAMALA: What is douche?

NALINI: OK, everyone stop talking about douche. Lord Ganesh doesn’t need to see my daughter in ripped jeans and a “Fries Before Guys” t-shirt.

NALINI: Pray you get into Princeton. Don’t waste your prayers on stupid things like world peace.

Final thoughts and fun facts

This isn’t a particularly funny episode so there isn’t too much to say. I mostly comment on the funny parts of shows, but this is one of the more serious episodes. I love the insight on Indian culture and the gorgeous outfits, saris are stunning.
