Book Confessions: Series I’m Never Going To Finish #5

I have a feeling I’m going to start getting more and more obscure with the series I talk about, especially when I get to the Kindle Unlimited section of my Goodreads. However, that won’t be for a while, I do have quite a few popular series coming up in the next few posts.

The 100 by Kass Morgan

I think where I went wrong with this series was watching the TV show first. I really enjoyed the show, up until like season 4 or something and then I gave up on it, and the book just did not garner any interest from me.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad book, and who knows maybe the entire series is actually really good, but I just never and thought about picking up the second one. This is definitely not a series that I would ever consider trying again, not for any particular reason other than I just don’t want to.

Synopsis: No one has set foot on Earth in centuries—until now.

Ever since a devastating nuclear war, humanity has lived on spaceships far above Earth’s radioactive surface. Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents—considered expendable by society—are being sent on a dangerous mission: to recolonize the planet. It could be their second chance at life…or it could be a suicide mission.

Clarke was arrested for treason, though she’s haunted by the memory of what she really did. Wells, the chancellor’s son, came to Earth for the girl he loves—but will she ever forgive him? Reckless Bellamy fought his way onto the transport pod to protect his sister, the other half of the only pair of siblings in the universe. And Glass managed to escape back onto the ship, only to find that life there is just as dangerous as she feared it would be on Earth.

Confronted with a savage land and haunted by secrets from their pasts, the hundred must fight to survive. They were never meant to be heroes, but they may be mankind’s last hope.

The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey

I actually really enjoyed the first book in this series, but it was at that time when I didn’t have my own money for books and buying ebooks was like a sin to me. Which is hilarious now because most of the books I read are ebooks.

Even though I did enjoy the first book I still won’t be continuing with this series as I read it so long ago (2015) and I don’t remember the plot at all. Yes, I am too lazy to re-read it, we all know this by now.

Synopsis: Beneath the streets of New York City live the Avicen, an ancient race of people with feathers for hair and magic running through their veins. Age-old enchantments keep them hidden from all but one human: Echo, a runaway pickpocket who survives by selling stolen treasures on the black market.

The Avicen are the only family Echo has ever known, so when a centuries-old war crests on the borders of her home, she decides it’s time to act. Legend has it that to end the conflict once and for all, Echo must find the firebird, a mythical entity believed to possess power the likes of which the world has never seen. It will be no easy task, though if life as a thief has taught Echo anything, it’s how to hunt down what she wants . . . and how to take it.
