Welcome to Blogmas 2024!
Yet again I am calling this month Blogmas despite posting every day anyway. I really look forward to posting festive content every year and 2024 is no different. Although technically it is different as one of my previous post series is not making a return. Yes, that’s right. No rewatch reviews this year. If I’m being honest, I don’t actually know of another festive TV series I could have done this year anyway and there’s no way I’d do a film every other day again. While that was fun to do a couple of years ago, it took up a crazy amount of time.
So here’s what I’ve got planned for Blogmas 2024:
The 12 Books of Christmas
This post series is about to have its fifth season. Not sure why I’m talking about it like it’s a TV show but doing this every year means a lot to me. The planning for these posts starts as early as August sometimes and in previous years I have started reading the books then. Unfortunately, I didn’t do that this year and at the time of writing this post (the end of October) I’m not even halfway through the twelve books yet.
But have no fear, I will make sure I have all twelve books read and reviewed before they will be posted. I like to think these reviews are my legacy as they take so much time and planning to pull off. Especially in the last few years when I’ve been posting daily content.
I’m not going to give any spoilers about which books I’ve read or what I thought of them, but I’ve enjoyed every single one so far.
Returning post types
I have a few festive post types I’ll be bringing back this year. As always I will be talking about my top picks from last year’s twelve, including my favourite reads and the best covers. I’ve also got some festive audiobook recommendations and I’ll be talking about more of my favourite Christmas films (of which I have many).
Trying to fill 24 days with festive content is no easy feat, but I’m really excited about this year’s selection of posts. I hope you are too!
