I’ve come to the realisation that now that I’ve started a ‘top Kindle deals’ series, I’ve limited how many books I can talk about in my haul posts. Obviously I don’t want to repeat myself, but to be honest, the first post had a bunch of books in it that I’d bought or read previously. Anyway, all that is to say that this month’s haul only has three books in it as I’ve either talked about other books I’ve bought already or there’s a bunch I’ve bought on a whim that I don’t have much to say about. For example: more of the Disney Twisted Tales books.
Heartstopper: Volume 6 by Alice Oseman
This may be the first time ever I’ve already read a book I’m talking about in a haul – no review just yet though as I want to get my re-read reviews of all five volumes done before I write a review for volume six. I do keep forgetting to do these though, oops.
So as a mini review to convince you that this volume (and entire series) is worth buying all I can say is: it’s perfect. If you’ve watched Heartstopper Forever already and hated the fact that Nick and Charlie break up (for a while, sorry for the spoiler if you haven’t seen it yet but it is canon that they stay together forever), that doesn’t happen in the graphic novel. It’s such a wonderful read and a great way to end the series.

Tourist Season by Brynne Weaver
I read one book by Brynne Weaver and was so hooked I’ve continued to buy everything she’s published since. Actually, writing this post is making me realise I need to read Leather & Lark soon. A spooky season read maybe?
This would also be a great spooky season read but I think I want to read the Ruinous Love trilogy before I check out any of her other books. I do love a sleepy seaside town that has a suspicious amount of murders though, it’s such a great setting in books and other media – not real life obviously.

This book had been on my wishlist for a very long time and then all of a sudden it was free (hopefully it still is by time this post comes out). I’m tempted to make this one of my ‘12 books of Christmas’ for 2026, which would mean swapping out one of my previously planned ones, but I’ve wanted to read this for so long now.
Festive books with a central theme of cooking/baking are some of my absolute favourites. They are pretty much the main inspiration for my best books about food series. They’re so cosy and perfect to read when it starts getting colder (this is a note for the UK: please get colder, I’m sick of this hot weather now).
