Synopsis:
Everyone at Ryder High knows what it means to have a teal envelope taped to their locker on the first day of the month.
But for Kerri Thomas, it’s not quite the moment she was waiting for.
Busy with school, friends, and volleyball, she doesn’t know if she has time to play along and figure out who her Secret Admirer is.
The clues send her on a wild scavenger hunt, proving that her admirer knows her better than she expected.
But none of the clues give her hints about the guy.
Kerri has a team of suspects, including her friends on the baseball team, but narrowing it down is near impossible without more information.
Who could be Kerri’s secret admirer, and why isn’t he revealing anything about himself?
Will Kerri be able to put the pieces of the puzzle together to figure it out?
Review:
I am loving the Love Notes series so far, it’s so cute. Although I did prefer book one, this one was still a great read and I like how short it was. This sounds like a bad thing, but I think if it was a longer read, it would get boring and too repetitive.
I really enjoyed the scavenger hunt in this book, but I didn’t like how expensive the gifts were. It felt like the mystery boy was trying to buy Kerri’s affection. It was done with good intentions, especially when you realise who the boy is (no spoilers from me), but please let me know where a teenage boy got the money for three big gifts.
The hunt and clues were very fun though, I love a scavenger hunt in a book. I’d be awful at one in real life, but this one was very cute. Especially the part with the dogs.
I adore the baseball boys, they seem like such a fun group. I also love that they aren’t the typical jocks that you’d expect in a teen romance. Everyone is nice to everyone.
As the secret admirers aren’t just straight boys, I’d love to see a book in this series from the perspective of one of the baseball boys. I found Owen and Max to be two of the most interesting characters so far, so I’d love to get a lot more of them in future instalments.
I’m 100% going to continue reading this series while I still have Kindle Unlimited. They’re super short but have great plots that don’t feel too rushed. If you like sweet high school romances, you will love this series.
