Best character
I wanted to choose The Jonas Brothers for this but after the recent controversy (leading to childhood heartbreak for me) I don’t think it would be right to do so.
My absolute favourite character of the entire show is Boomer, he’s the best.

Best quotes and one liners
LANGSTON: It’s not about the first kiss. It’s about the first one that matters.
PRIYA: I think you’ve done enough. Sorry, but if it was me, I wouldn’t want
anything more to do with you.
DASH: No, she said that she stopped believing. That’s not the Lily I know.
SOFIA: Maybe you don’t know her. Maybe she’s just the girl in your head.
DASH: No, I know it’s important. If she stopped believing, that’s on me. I need to do something. I need to fix it.
YHONNY: I don’t know, man. If’ if this is about making yourself feel better…
DASH: I cannot stop thinking about her. And if she leaves tonight, I’m never gonna get the chance to tell her that.
BOOMER: So, what are you doing here? Go’ go find her.
DASH: Well, I did that on Christmas. It just made things worse.
SOFIA: Oh, Dash. You’ve read so many books, but you’re still hung up on fairy tales.
DASH: What do you mean?
SOFIA: People think fairy tales are for girls. Who do you think wrote them in the first place?
Men see every girl as a princess to be rescued. And they see themselves as the prince.
BOOMER: Operation: Cinderella.
SOFIA: When you went to Lily before, you were trying to be Prince Charming. If you really care about her… You need to go to her as you.
DASH: Yeah, for a loner, I have good friends. One of them knows a Macy’s elf.
DASH: Okay, well, we could call your parents or your grandpa. ‘Cause if you tell them you’re trapped in The Strand with me, they’ll be happy to send the fire department or the police or the Army.
Final thoughts and fun facts
Well, here we are. The last episode and it’s Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas! (which is weird to say because I’m writing this in September).
This show was so cute and I’m a little sad that they didn’t adapt the second book. I suppose it isn’t also set at Christmas so it wouldn’t fit well thematically for a show, but I would have loved it either way.
The little easter eggs of the series on the Christmas tree in the bookshop are so cute. I love little details like that.
It would have been nice to have just one more episode or even an after-credit scene with Dash and Lily as an actual couple. The show does have a really nice ending, but I’m a sucker for an epilogue.
