Today’s best covers post is basically just books with pink on them. I’m very drawn to pink colour palettes, especially as I read a lot of romcoms these days and it’s really starting to show.
I did want to start a series about the best covers but grouped in colours i.e. best pink covers, but then I thought it would get a bit repetitive, so I’ve decided against it. Anyway, here are more of my favourite book covers.
The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd Jones

Now, I wasn’t blown away by this book, but it does have a really nice cover. I’m also a sucker for a pink and purple cover, which is probably obvious by now. I especially love a good gradient.
Synopsis: Once upon a time, the kingdoms of Wales were rife with magic and conflict, and eighteen-year-old Mererid “Mer” is well-acquainted with both. She is the last living water diviner and has spent years running from the prince who bound her into his service. Under the prince’s orders, she located the wells of his enemies, and he poisoned them without her knowledge, causing hundreds of deaths. After discovering what he had done, Mer went to great lengths to disappear from his reach. Then Mer’s old handler returns with a proposition: use her powers to bring down the very prince that abused them both.
The best way to do that is to destroy the magical well that keeps the prince’s lands safe. With a motley crew of allies, including a fae-cursed young man, the lady of thieves, and a corgi that may or may not be a spy, Mer may finally be able to steal precious freedom and peace for herself. After all, a person with a knife is one thing…but a person with a cause can topple kingdoms.
Lark & Kasim Start a Revoltuion by Kacen Callender

Again, I wasn’t blown away by this book, but I love its cover. It’s probably one of the main reasons why I wanted to read it.
The character designs are so good and they have so much personality for static images. The colours really make the cover and it’s so fun and interesting.
Synopsis: Lark Winters wants to be a writer, and for now that means posting on their social media accounts––anything to build their platform. When former best friend Kasim accidentally posts a thread on Lark’s Twitter declaring his love for a secret, unrequited crush, Lark’s tweets are suddenly the talk of the school—and beyond. To protect Kasim, Lark decides to take the fall, pretending they accidentally posted the thread in reference to another classmate. It seems like a great idea: Lark gets closer to their crush, Kasim keeps his privacy, and Lark’s social media stats explode. But living a lie takes a toll—as does the judgment of thousands of Internet strangers. Lark tries their best to be perfect at all costs, but nothing seems good enough for the anonymous hordes––or for Kasim, who is growing closer to Lark, just like it used to be between them . . .
In the end, Lark must embrace their right to their messy emotions and learn how to be in love.
