Lore Olympus: Volume Three by Rachel Smythe

I’m still completely obsessed with the art style of Lore Olympus. Which is probably obvious considering I’ve talked about each cover in order so far. I’m not so much a fan of the newer ones though so don’t expect to be seeing those in this series any time soon.
The colour palette of this cover in particular is really pleasing to me. Rachel Smythe chose the perfect colours for Hades and Persephone. I’m not usually a fan of pink and blue together, especially darker blues, but they compliment each other so well. Especially when you see that the background is the shade of purple the mix of them is likely to make. I haven’t read this volume yet so I don’t know if that’s hinting at progression in their relationship or not, but if it is, nice touch.
Synopsis: “It is natural for a King to be curious about his future Queen. . . .”
All of Olympus–and the Underworld–are talking about the God of the Dead and the sprightly daughter of Demeter. But despite the rumors of their romance, Hades and Persephone have plenty to navigate on their own.
Since coming to Olympus, Persephone has struggled to be the perfect maiden goddess. Her attraction to Hades has only complicated the intense burden of the gods’ expectations. And after Apollo’s assault, Persephone fears she can no longer bury the intense feelings of hurt and love that she’s worked so hard to hide.
As Persephone contemplates her future, Hades struggles with his past, falling back into toxic habits in Minthe’s easy embrace. With all the mounting pressure and expectations–of their family, friends, and enemies–both Hades and Persephone tell themselves to deny their deepest desires, but the pull between them is too tempting, too magnetic. It’s fate.
SubZero Vol. 1 by Junepurrr

I don’t include manga/anime style covers in this series very often but because of the colour palette of this one, I had to include it. The bright pop of orange is very aesthetically pleasing to me. But I’m a big lover of the colour, I know a lot of people don’t feel that way. Plus having orange with a lot of blue sounds like it shouldn’t work, but they’re actually complementary colours so it makes total sense that this colour looks great.
I also really like the character designs. I feel like their personalities really shine through. Clove looks fierce and determined yet a little overwhelmed by her situation, which is exactly how she acts during the story. Prince Kyro looks intimidating and every bit the dragon he is. I love it.
Synopsis: To save her people, Princess Clove will have to do the unthinkable—marry her greatest enemy!
Clove is the last remaining heir of her Cerulean Dragon clan, fighting in a seemingly endless 300-year-war against the vast Crimson Empire. With no end to the war in sight, Clove agrees to leave her sheltered homeland in favor of a political marriage with the heir to the enemy Crimson Dragon clan, Prince Kyro.
Raised on the battlefields and feared by his rivals, the cutthroat prince is first to notice that Clove is hiding a dangerous secret she’s been working tirelessly to protect.
As tensions rise between these unlikely allies, the fragile peace brokered by their marriage is threatened by those who wish to continue the war. Now fighting in the world of her enemies and fighting a surprising attraction to Kyro, Clove discovers that achieving peace is far more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.
