I’ve finally run out of pre-prepared posts for this series, so this one was actually written in April. I’ve also no longer got a Kindle Unlimited subscription. This doesn’t mean these posts are stopping, I still have a decent sized list of books to talk about.
These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan

I had no idea this was available on Kindle Unlimited until very recently. I read this so long ago and I was super lucky to get an ARC–my review of These Hollow Vows is one of my most read posts, which is so random.
This is a classic fae romantasy with a bit of added spice. I’ve recently just bought the sequel so I may continue this series at some point.
Synopsis: Brie hates the Fae and refuses to have anything to do with them, even if that means starving on the street. But when her sister is sold to the sadistic king of the Unseelie court to pay a debt, she’ll do whatever it takes to get her back—including making a deal with the king himself to steal three magical relics from the Seelie court.
Gaining unfettered access to the Seelie court is easier said than done. Brie’s only choice is to pose as a potential bride for Prince Ronan, and she soon finds herself falling for him. Unwilling to let her heart distract her, she accepts help from a band of Unseelie misfits with their own secret agenda. As Brie spends time with their mysterious leader, Finn, she struggles to resist his seductive charm.
Caught between two dangerous courts, Brie must decide who to trust with her loyalty. And with her heart.
Needle and Thread by David Pinckney, Ennun Ana Iurov & Micah Myers

I’m really not a fan of this cover, but don’t let that put you off. This is a super sweet graphic novel and the art style is so fun.
Synopsis: Choosing between living the life you want and living the life you’re “supposed to have” is not always an easy choice. Noah, embracing his true-self, wants to pursue a career in costume design, something his loving, public service parents would never approve of. Azarie, the perfect, model daughter of a very stern, traditional family, dreams of embracing the hobbies she secretly loves, hobbies her social circle would never abide by.
The two live different lives and their social statuses keep them from ever crossing paths until they have a chance encounter that exposes some common ground: the desire to be who they truly are. Together, the two set out to put it all on the line and show everyone what they’re made of and what they want to achieve in the form of cosplay. Their growing friendship will be tested and their faith in themselves, as well as each other, will be tried.
