I’m not really sure which books I’ll be reading in November as I’ve just got Kindle Unlimited again for a couple of months (I got a deal of two months for 99p). There are a few series I’d like to continue but as I don’t have pictures for any of those books, I’m going to include a few shorter reads in this month’s to be read post.
The [Fake] Dating Game by Timothy Janovsky

This has been on my radar for a while and it looks like it will be the light hearted read I need right now. It’s also less than 300 pages which is an absolute win. I’ve talked about it a lot already but trying to read twelve festive ARCs whilst also doing daily content is not the easiest and it feels even harder this year. I have a lot less free time than I used to so maybe it wasn’t a great idea to start the ARCs so late. Anyway, that has nothing to do with this book.
I love a fake dating book, as you will know by now, so this looks right up my street. I’ve been burned by a few fake dating books in the past, so hopefully this one lives up to expectations.
Synopsis: Ready. Set. Faux.
Holden James picked the worst time to have a meltdown. His chance to audition for his favourite game show, Madcap Market , should have been a moment of triumph—a glorious, loving homage to his adored mom, who died six years ago. Instead, he’s destroying the minibar in a grim Los Angeles hotel room…recently dumped, partnerless and sliding into a crushing black hole of anguish.
But the hotel service in abject misery is sublime. It even comes with an unfairly fit and sexy (smart-ass) concierge who arrives at the door with pizza, Monopoly and deliciously distracting forearms.
All Holden knows about Leo Min is that he’s beautiful and unexpectedly sympathetic, and the chemistry between them is beyond . Maybe it’s even enough to convince everyone, including the show’s casting directors, that they’re a real couple. All they’d have to do is crush the competition, win the huge cash prize and all of Holden’s problems—his broken heart, his buried grief, his complete lack of money and direction—will be fixed.
Of course, reality doesn’t quite work out that way. But love is an entirely different game…
Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins: Jester Lavorre by Sam Maggs, Laura Bailey & Matthew Mercer

I wanted to read this last month but didn’t get around to it. Jester is one of my absolute favourite Critical Role characters so it will be so fun to learn more about her past. It’s also going to make me so excited for the TV show. I hope they announce a release date soon.
Synopsis: Jester Lavorre had an unconventional upbringing, even for one born in cosmopolitan Nicodranas. Daughter of the famed Ruby of the Sea, she had many opportunities for mischief as a small child, of which she took full advantage! Dive into the mystery of Jester’s early years, her first meeting with the Traveler, and the fateful events that set her on a path to eventually join the Mighty Nein.
