Upcoming Adaptations: June 2026

June has a lot of adaptations coming out and there are three in particular that I’m really excited about. There are also a few other shows and films, some based on books I haven’t read, that I’ll likely check out; Every Summer After as an example.

Also, I feel like I have to say this here because my ‘what I watched’ wrap up won’t be coming for a little while: I absolutely loved the Off Campus show. I’m on my second viewing in less than a week of the show coming out. I also binged the entire season in one day – so good!

The Legend of Vox Machina – Season 4

My plan before this season comes out is to get my boyfriend to watch the previous three seasons with me. He’s seen bits and pieces of it when we’ve been sitting in the same room while I’m watching it, but he’s never actually watched the show. He did watch The Mighty Nein with me though and he loved it.

Things are about to get real sad and I don’t know how prepared I am for it. I’m definitely nowhere near as attached to Vox Machina as I am The Mighty Nein, but I do still love these characters. Having watched campaign three to completion does make you feel hopeful though.

I haven’t watched anything Critical Role related in quite a while so I’m looking forward to getting stuck into a new season of one of their animated shows.

Season 4 synopsis: A year after the Chroma Conclave, Vox Machina has separated, searching for love, family and purpose. But as always, the call of adventure is a breath away. When a long-slumbering evil awakens to threaten the realm, they must reunite to take on an epic foe.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder – Season 2

Ok so technically this comes out May 27th in the UK but I didn’t include it in my March – May post so I’m talking about it here.

I can’t remember how much I enjoyed season one as I’ve only watched it once and I did so across one evening. So I’ll probably do a rewatch before I check out season two. I only have two evenings free before season two comes out so I’m not sure how likely it is that this will happen but we’ll see.

I loved book two, it was probably my favourite in the series so I’m excited to see it come to life. Hopefully a second time round I won’t find Emma Myers’ British accent so jarring.

Synopsis: Pretty and popular high school senior Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh, who then killed himself. It was all anyone could talk about. And five years later, Pip sees how the tragedy still haunts her town. But she can’t shake the feeling that there was more to what happened that day.

Your Fault: London

I put the first film in this series on in the background as just a bit of noise really. Well, I very quickly got invested in the story, and while it is extremely cringe worthy, I loved it. My love for Matthew Broome began here and I’m sure it’s only going to grow with this next instalment.

I’ve never watched the original Spanish versions of these films, but I might at some point. I’m much better at watching and reading subtitles at the same time now – I absolutely cannot stand dubbing on real people, it’s something we should only do for animation in my opinion.

I haven’t watched the trailer for this film so I have no idea what it’s actually about, but have it be known I will be watching it whenever I have an evening free.

Film one synopsis: 18-year-old Noah moves from America to London, with her mother who’s recently fallen in love with William, a wealthy British businessman. Noah meets William’s son, bad-boy Nick, and soon discovers there is an attraction between them neither can avoid. As Noah spends the summer adjusting to her new life, her devastating past will catch up with her while falling in love for the first time.
