What I Watched: February 2025

For someone that spends too much a month on streaming services I love to spend most of my time watching free content on YouTube. This mostly being Critical Role and the Call of Duty League – which I don’t think I’ve talked about for a few years now. I didn’t watch it at all last year as I wasn’t interested in the game but Black Ops 4 is really fun and I love the new LA Thieves team.

Technically the minor for the Call of Duty League happened at the very start of March but as I’m writing this late I feel like talking about it now. It’s so fun to watch the team you love play really well and win the whole thing. It’s making me very excited for the next major.

I also spent a lot of time watching said LA Thieves team stream on Twitch. I love putting a livestream on in the background while I write blog posts or edit photos.

The majority of my February was spent finishing Critical Role’s campaign three. Pretty much any spare time I had was spent watching the final episodes and my god they were great. I won’t give any spoilers but the final episode was everything. I cried about four times within the first hour. You can’t have a character almost die in the last episode, that would be genuinely ridiculous.

This may sound a little crazy but I watched the entire final episode in one sitting. Yep all 8 and a half hours of it. I had a great time and it honestly didn’t feel that long. Probably because of the musical chairs they played with guest players and switching which group they were playing. Their ability to switch character voices, especially while talking to themselves, is insane.

I’m a little disappointed that the Vox Machina stuff overshadowed Bells Hells though, but it was a satisfying end to their (Vox Machina) story. It felt like the Bells Hells were pushed to the side, which is a shame because I really loved all of those characters and it was technically the end of their campaign. But wrapping up that entire era of Exandria was great. I’m excited for what’s next.
