I’ve been posting this series once a month for quite a while now, but I might need to slow down soon. I’m getting through books quicker than I’m buying new ones so currently, this series is finite. However, they may change over the next few months, we shall see.
Chain of Thorns (The Last Hours #3) by Cassandra Clare
This series is by far the best for covers. I don’t hate the covers for The Mortal Instruments (re-releases, let’s not even mention the originals) but The Last Hours’ are simply stunning. I think this is my favourite so far.
The combination of green and red isn’t something I usually like, but it’s gorgeous here. It;s a very busy cover, but I don’t mind that for once.
Synopsis: Cordelia Carstairs has lost everything that matters to her. In only a few short weeks, she has seen her father murdered, her plans to become parabatai with her best friend, Lucie, destroyed, and her marriage to James Herondale crumble before her eyes. Even worse, she is now bound to an ancient demon, Lilith, stripping her of her power as a Shadowhunter.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder #1) by Holly Jackson
I adore the simplicity of this cover. Despite it being quite minimalistic, it’s very eye catching. Everytime I go book shopping it catches my eye instantly.
It’s definitely my favourite out of the entire series and I love the pops of red and blue. I can’t really explain why I like this cover so much, I don’t think a lot of people like it, but I do.
Synopsis: The case is closed. Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it.
But having grown up in the same small town that was consumed by the murder, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn’t so sure. When she chooses the case as the topic for her final year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. And if the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?
