Twin Crowns by Catherine Doyle and Katherine Webber

This one is an easy pick for me. Charlie Bowater art = beautiful cover. It’s that simple. She is by far my favourite cover artist and every time I see a book with her art I instantly want it. I don’t own anywhere near enough of her art.
The colour palette of this book is absolutely stunning. The pink of the dress and flowers really pops and I love the character designs. The slight differences between the twins are subtle but beautiful. I’m yet to find a Charlie Bowater cover I do not like. Her character work in particular is always incredible.
Synopsis: Wren Greenrock has always known that one day she would steal her sister’s place in the palace. Trained from birth to return to the place of her parents’ murder and usurp the only survivor, she will do anything to rise to power and protect the community of witches she loves. Or she would, if only a certain palace guard wasn’t quite so distractingly attractive, and if her reckless magic didn’t have a habit of causing trouble…
Princess Rose Valhart knows that with power comes responsibility. Marriage into a brutal kingdom awaits, and she will not let a small matter like waking up in the middle of the desert in the company of an extremely impertinent (and handsome) kidnapper get in the way of her royal duty. But life outside the palace walls is wilder and more beautiful than she ever imagined, and the witches she has long feared might turn out to be the family she never knew she was missing.
Two sisters separated at birth and raised into entirely different worlds are about to get to know each other’s lives a whole lot better. But as coronation day looms closer and they each strive to claim their birthright, the sinister Kingsbreath, Willem Rathborne, becomes increasingly determined that neither will succeed. Who will ultimately rise to power and wear the crown?
Last Chance Books by Kelsey Rodkey

I will always be the first to admit when I’ve brought a book because of the cover. That is exactly what happened here. Hopefully, it won’t come back to bite me, it doesn’t have great reviews on Goodreads though so I’m feeling a little less hopeful about it than when I started writing this post.
This cover is unbelievably beautiful though. The colour palette is right up my street. My living room walls are pretty much the same shade of pink. The tiny details on all of the book spines are also so beautiful. These really bring the cover to life, I think it would be quite boring without these.
Synopsis: Don’t you just love the smell of old books in the morning?
Madeline Moore does. Books & Moore, the musty bookstore her family has owned for generations, is where she feels most herself. Nothing is going to stop her from coming back after college to take over the store from her beloved aunt.
Nothing, that is—until a chain bookstore called Prologue opens across the street and threatens to shut them down.
Madeline sets out to demolish the competition, but Jasper, the guy who works over at Prologue, seems intent on ruining her life. Not only is he taking her customers, he has the unbelievable audacity to be… extremely cute.
But that doesn’t matter. Jasper is the enemy and he will be destroyed. After all—all’s fair in love and (book) wars.
