The Best Of: Films I Could Watch Again and Again #2

Lately, I’ve been in the type of mood where all I want to do is cuddle up with a cup of tea and watch my favourite films. From this, I’ve realised that there are quite a lot of films that I would consider my comfort films hence why I am doing a second post. I’ll probably have more to do another post too at some point. I mean you can never have too many comfort films right?

Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging (2008)

I used to be obsessed with this. So much so that I remember watching it when I was like 13 and crying because I wanted a boyfriend. Thatโ€™s probably really embarrassing to admit but Iโ€™m fine with that.

If you didnโ€™t fancy Aaron Taylor Johnson back when this came out, you clearly never saw this film. He was everyoneโ€™s dream boy back then and honestly he probably still is now.

Now that I live in Brighton I love this film even more as some of it was filmed in Brighton but mostly in Eastbourne. Which for anyone who doesnโ€™t live in the UK is right next to Brighton.

I really, really want to watch this film right now but I canโ€™t find it anywhere online that I donโ€™t have to pay an additional fee. Looks like Iโ€™m going to have to buy the DVD from somewhere.

Synopsis: An eccentric but loveable teenage girl maintains a diary about the ups and downs of being a teenager and tries to overcome the trials and tribulations of growing up.

Starring: Georgia Groome, Aaron Taylor Johnson

Wild Child (2008)

I actually remember going to see this in the cinema way back when it came out and I still love it just as much. Itโ€™s so very British and honestly, itโ€™s rare to find a teen film that isnโ€™t set in America.

Once again I am going to look like I was completely boy crazy as a teen (I really wasnโ€™t) but Alex Pettyfer is so ridiculously swoon-worthy in this. Who wouldnโ€™t love this film?

This is another film that I want to watch again soon and thankfully itโ€™s on Netflix (Iโ€™m pretty sure I have the DVD too) so I can actually watch it.

Synopsis: A rebellious Malibu princess is sent off to a strict English boarding school by her father. Unwilling to accept the strict regime, she decides to misbehave, in the hope of being dismissed from school.

Starring: Emma Roberts, Alex Pettyfer

Love, Rosie (2014)

I spoke about this film a few days ago in a best friends to lovers films post and yes I’m talking about it again.

Even though this is pretty sad at times I absolutely love this film. Sam Claflin is the rom-com king and I will die on that hill. Again with the worry of looking boy-crazed, I am swooning over Sam Claflin just like every other male lead in all of the films mentioned.

Please be aware that the attractiveness of the actors is not what I base my opinions of these films on. Iโ€™m not that shallow. I would like to also point out that I find Lily Collins just as or possibly even more attractive than Sam Claflin so there it is.

This is a little more mature than the other films mentioned so do be aware of that if you are less than 16 Iโ€™d say. Nothing too graphic though so donโ€™t worry just lots more mature themes.

Iโ€™m having that issue where I love something so much that I donโ€™t actually know what to say about it. Does anyone else have that or is it just me?

Synopsis: Rosie and Alex have been friends since childhood and cannot imagine themselves as a couple. However, when they head in different directions, they realise that they are made for each other.

Starring: Lily Collins, Sam Claflin
