The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore

This was my second Laurie Gilmore book and it saved the series for me. I always talk about how I didn’t enjoy book one, so checking this out was a bit of a risk. Fortunately, I really enjoyed it (hence why it’s in this post) but it is probably my second least favourite book in this series. I’ve potentially talked about the others in this series before, who knows? It’s hard to keep track.
The Christmas Tree Farm isn’t overly festive but the farm setting is so lovely. If you enjoy a forced proximity book, this is the one for you.
I would have gone into more detail about why I’m recommending this book, but my review of it is very short. You could tell I was feeling pretty over the festive reads by that point.
Synopsis: Kira North hates Christmas. Which is unfortunate since she just bought a Christmas tree farm in a town that’s too cute for its own good.
Bennett Ellis is on vacation in Dream Harbor trying to take a break from both his life and his constant desire to fix things.
But somehow fate finds Ben trapped by a blanket of snow at Kira’s farm, and, despite her Grinchiest first impressions, with the glow of the fairy lights twinkling in the trees, and the promise of a warming hot chocolate, maybe, just maybe, these two lost souls will have a Christmas they’ll remember forever…
Christmas Ever After by Jaimie Admans

I’ve only read two festive books from Jaimie Admans but she’s yet to let me down. Her books are so wonderfully magical and festive. If you’re not feeling Christmassy yet, I can’t recommend checking out Christmas Ever After or The Little Christmas Shop on Nutcracker Lane enough. They both make me so excited for Chrismtas.
Also, the characters are just so likeable. It’s so weird to say but Jaimie Admans is really good at describing hugs that feel warm and loving. Does that make sense or am I crazy?
Synopsis: A picture-perfect town, a place where dreams come true. Welcome to Ever After Street…
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but Franca Andrews has never felt more miserable. With business far from bustling, she needs a Christmas miracle to keep her beloved nutcracker shop open… But there’s one man standing in her way – expert snow globe maker Raff Dardenne.
Dardenne Snow Globes have a magical reputation for bringing lovers together, a myth that Raff continues to exploit, much to Franca’s annoyance! But this Christmas their shops are pitted against each other and only one gets to stay on Ever After Street. Franca doesn’t know how her handmade nutcrackers are ever going to compete with Raff’s magical snow globes, especially at the most magical time of the year!
Franca’s determined to prove Raff’s business is built on lies. But when disaster strikes, and she’s left unable to make anything, she needs help. It’s just very frustrating that the only person offering is her gorgeous, annoying, nemesis himself!
As these two enemies get to know each other, Franca discovers another side to Raff – kind, caring and funny. But unless she can prove that his magical snow globes can’t really match true lovers together, she’s going to lose everything…
But maybe it’s not too late for them to put aside their differences and find some Christmas magic of their own?
