November has gone by in a flash, as has all of 2025 if I really think about it. It’s crazy to think that December begins tomorrow. I hope you’re all ready for a month filled with festive content!
My Life With the Walter Boys – Season two
I finally got around to finishing season two and I’m still wondering what the point of the season was. We’re literally in the same place that season one finished in. Jackie is with Alex but has admitted to having feelings for Cole. Yes, that legit happens at the end of both seasons. They also made Nathan a complete tool this season, which I HATE. I love Nathan, he’s the cutest but he was really not himself this season at all. I’m glad Kiley is finally happy though, she deserves it.
Synopsis: After losing her family in a tragic accident, fifteen-year-old Manhattanite Jackie Howard leaves behind her privileged and proper life in New York and moves to rural Colorado to be with her guardian – her mother’s best friend, Katherine, who is raising ten kids with her husband, George. While settling into her new, chaotic countryside home, Jackie is determined to stay focused on her dream of getting into Princeton…all while wrapping her head around her feelings for two very different Walter brothers: the reliable and bookish Alex, and the mysterious and troubled Cole. As Jackie tries to navigate her new life, the feelings and tensions she tries to deny threaten to throw everything off course. Will she be able to stay true to herself and still find romance?
The Mighty Nein
I was going to talk about this show in full detail in this post, however, I think I may actually wait until the entire season is out. Which will be in my December what I watched wrap up post.
I want to still talk about it a little though as I feel like everyone should be watching this, even if you’re not a Critical Role or D&D fan. It’s pure brilliant fantasy but with a lot of grit and feeling.
Synopsis: When a powerful arcane relic known as The Beacon falls into dangerous hands, a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars, must learn to work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling.
Upload
I started this show on a whim. Well kinda. It’s one that has popped up on Prime Video countless times and also my mom told me she was watching it years ago. I decided to finally check it out as I was feeling overwhelmed by longer content (Critical Role campaigns) and I needed something I could switch off to. Turns out this show is perfect for that. It’s very weird though, but almost the right amount of weird.
I’ve just started season two and I’m really unsure where this show will go. I thought finding out the big revelation about Nathan’s death would take longer than just one season.
Synopsis: After his premature death, a man’s consciousness is uploaded into a virtual world. As he gets comfortable with his surroundings, questions about his death arise.
Control playthrough – Kastaclysm
It’s been a long time since I’ve watched a long playthrough like this and I’m having a great time. It’s also rare for me to watch a game I’ve played myself, but when I saw that Kasta was playing this, I knew I needed to see her reaction to this game. So far I’m halfway through episode 7, which is just over a third of the way through the playthrough and I love how much time she takes to read absolutely everything. I’m learning things I didn’t know from my own playthrough as I’m not as patient as Kasta.
This playthrough will be the next post in my fave YouTube gaming series but who knows when that will be posted? It’s going to take me a while to finish this playthrough.
Synopsis: You are Jesse Faden, a young woman with a troubled past. You become the new Director of the Bureau of Control – Our frontline in researching and fighting against supernatural enemies like the Hiss threatening our very existence. You’ll uncover the secret activities of the Bureau agents and explore the strange and shifting halls of the Bureau’s headquarters, The Oldest House. Unlock new abilities with Objects of Power and upgrade your Service Weapon to take on bigger and more powerful enemies. Venture into lost sectors in the challenging Expeditions mode. Solve puzzles and complete quests to discover the secret of Jesse’s past and the true purpose of the Bureau of Control. Above all, you must defeat the relentless Hiss. Control is Jesse Fadens’s story. The main plot focuses on her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director. The world of Control has its own story, as do the allies Jesse meets along the way. Side-quests and Secrets are everywhere. Jesse works with other Bureau agents, decodes cryptic ciphers and discovers strange Bureau experiments.
Dispatch playthrough – Jacksepticeye
This game was seriously amazing. Not only is the voice acting incredible, but the writing felt really fresh and surprisingly not cringeworthy – even the female characters (everyone cheer!).
Jacksepticeye had to be my go to Youtuber for this game as he stars in it himself. I loved the insights he gave into recording his lines and how these impacted the choices he made. Also, you could feel how passionate he was about the game and that always makes a playthrough more interesting.
I imagine I’ll rewatch this series at some point in the future so I’ll save my in depth thoughts about it for that.
Synopsis: Lead a team of dysfunctional superheroes in a choice-driven workplace comedy. Juggle emergencies, office politics and personal drama while striving to become a hero.
