What I Listened To: October 2023

I was contemplating whether or not to write this post this month as I haven’t been listening to any different music. So, this may be quite similar to last month’s post I’m afraid. I am seeing Baby Queen on the 31st though, so there’s been a lot of Baby Queen listening.

Songs I’ve enjoyed in October

I’ve pretty much only been listening to GUTS for the past month. Every time I listen to it, I pick a new favourite song and honestly, I actually can’t pick a favourite. Love is Embarassing is definitely near the top (I’m thinking of doing a series of ranking songs on albums. Thoughts?). It’s so fun.

I want to say this is an underrated fave, but I don’t actually know which songs people love the most from this album. I like all of them.

This is probably one of my favourite Baby Queen singles. I’m really hoping she plays this when I see her at the end of the month. I am so excited I can’t even describe it. I haven’t been to a proper gig (outside of my boyfriend’s band) since 2019.

Audiobooks I listened to in October

I don’t think anyone wants to hear about the festive audiobooks I’ve listened to (for future posts) so I won’t mention them here. However, I did listen to one audiobook this month. It’s been a while since I’ve listened to an 8+ hour audiobook and Death Checked Out really tested my patience.

I only listened to the audio version because I was given an ARC of the second book and it was the cheapest way of reading it. It felt too long and I lost interest way too often. I am still planning to read the second book though as it’s written so I’ll hopefully enjoy it more.
