For the first time in a very long time, I don’t have any ARCs to read (by choice) and I don’t have Kindle Unlimited. This means I’m completely free to choose what I want to read. Which also means I have no idea what I want to read. I’ve accumulated quite the collection of books on my Kindle in the last year and I’ve read pretty much none of them – hence why I haven’t taken on any ARCs.
Foxglove by Adalyn Grace

Speaking of ARCs, I was lucky enough to receive a copy of the first book in this series; Belladonna. I absolutely loved it and I’m so excited to continue Signa’s story. Bring on the Death romance! I love Victorian Gothic, it’s one of my favourite styles/themes.
Synopsis: A duke has been murdered. The lord of Thorn Grove has been framed. And Fate, the elusive brother of Death, has taken up residence in a sumptuous estate nearby. He’s hellbent on revenge after Death took the life of the woman he loved many years ago…and now he’s determined to have Signa for himself, no matter the cost.
Signa and her cousin Blythe are certain that Fate can save Elijah Hawthorne from prison if they will entertain his presence. But the more time the girls spend with Fate, the more frightening their reality becomes as Signa exhibits dramatic new powers that link her to Fate’s past. With mysteries and danger around every corner, the cousins must decide if they can trust one another as they navigate their futures in high society, unravel the murders that haunt their family, and play Fate’s unexpected games—all with their destinies hanging in the balance.
Fake Dates and Mooncakes by Sher Lee

I’ve been wanting to read this for so long and I now finally have time to do so. We all know by now how much I love fake dating books. Yes, I do purposefully seek them out.
This one is also about food which is even better. I love books about cafes/restuarants, I’m one of those weird people that likes day-to-day activities in books.
Synopsis: Dylan Tang wants to win a Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake-making competition for teen chefs—in memory of his mom, and to bring much-needed publicity to his aunt’s struggling Chinese takeout in Brooklyn.
Enter Theo Somers: charming, wealthy, with a smile that makes Dylan’s stomach do backflips. AKA a distraction. Their worlds are sun-and-moon apart, but Theo keeps showing up. He even convinces Dylan to be his fake date at a family wedding in the Hamptons.
In Theo’s glittering world of pomp, privilege, and crazy rich drama, their romance is supposed to be just pretend . . . but Dylan finds himself falling for Theo. For real. Then Theo’s relatives reveal their true colors—but with the mooncake contest looming, Dylan can’t risk being sidetracked by rich-people problems.
Can Dylan save his family’s business and follow his heart—or will he fail to do both?
The Mortal Instruments: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 2 by Cassandra Clare & Cassandra Jean

I’ve had the set of these since my birthday in October and I’m yet to pick them up. I’ve been trying to stay away from graphics novels as I don’t want to bulk out my reading challenge with them, I do realise this is silly.
I really enjoyed the first instalment and Cassandra Jean is the artist of the Shadowhunter Chronicles.
Synopsis: In the world of shadows, battling vampires and fending off wolves at knifepoint no longer frightens Clary. If it means finding her mother, she can deal with that much. But when a trusted ally betrays the Shadowhunters and Jace is nowhere to be found, she might have to face a truth too unsettling to bear…
